So what is up? Haven't been here in a long time so thought I would see what everyone is up to.

Fixed. Don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em. Pod really saved the day by providing the secret ingredient. ^_^

Tomato has a sickness & he is attempting to infect us all. That is the explanation of the Ponies.
OK, let's be fair here: there's only two actual "Bronies" on FR, myself and Hitman. It's just that our awesomeness has so overtaken the boards it seems like there's an army of us.
And despite the 'infection', I'm still a blob. I think that says something. I couldn't tell you what, exactly, but it certainly says something.
All I know for sure is that a brownie fad sounds delicious and imminent. Imminent in that I'm going to go and buy a brownie. Delicious in that I'm going to eat said brownie. I may even draw a moustache on it and pretend it's my friend. On second thoughts...
For the most part I dont do memes. That said nice to see you around.
Be thankful its not furries.

Ohhh...that might be the perfect way to fight the ponies!! Must...get...started...on...furrizing everyone!
Until yesterday, I have never even heard of bronies, and I was wondering what the deal with these ponyized was. Fortunately, I have very little artistic capacity and can't play along.

For the love of god (whichever deity a deadite like yourself would recognize), do not open up that Pandora's box! Furries are so low on the chain of normalness (or any other scale you choose to employ) they're the only thing that LARP'ers are allowed to make fun of. If you go down that road, you *will* be forever labeled. I'm just sayin.....

Do you *really* think that makes you safe? Ask Benton Grey about that line of defense (or me, for that matter).

You don't have to tell me. I was in Second Life for years where you not only get furries but some of them have their yiffing junk hanging out too. I'm still scarred by that Halloween back in '05 when I saw eight of them all dancing in sync with a flying tentacle monster...

I'm pretty sure there are Brony Furries on Second Life.
If I remember correctly, there was a bronies group that handed out a free pony avatar, there's a rediculous amount of mods and accessories for them on the marketplace, I know that much
[edit]
a quick search came up with this as the first thing (https://d3qcduphvv2yxi.cloudfront.net/assets/3805597/view_large/1306381225_fionthebunny_derp_ad.jpg)
I actually made a poor attempt at making a second life pony avatar... and then I remembered why I never got into second life the other 20 times I looked into it.
Edit: ZOMG DERPY *brain explosion*
(http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/5126/mylittleponyfriendshipih.jpg)
secondlife actually has mesh now, making all other forms of building obsolete
it's not that... I just don't like second life in general. I'm not big on the engine, not big on the wild diversity most of the graphics, not big on the "spend all your moneyz" mentality the game seems to have, and I'm not really into the whole concept in general. That, plus the fact that I'm forced to use phone tether and get cruddy internet (also the reason I usually forgo MMOs) makes even my vain attempts to get on and give it a decent shake hair-pulling levels of frustrating.
Yes, I am very glad their is no mention of yiffing or the like. So besides the influx of MLP:FIM what else has happened since I have been away?

Not much.
1. Komm helped MikeB7 change the filter on his nipple hoses.
2. Prev entered into early retirement from his (abortive attempt at pursuing a) singing career in the Korean boy band
화장실.
3. Spud has recovered from his multiple eye surgery and has begun work on his memoir, entitled
Okay, No More Mr. Nice Fry.
4. Glitch Girl invented a wingspan enhancement device for Night Dragon (results may v$%^a!#@#^r~(&*^y).

Oh my gosh. The palpable jealousy of you people who focus on me so much. I've never been a singer. You're thinking of Gogglespizanno and the Goggle Rangers (AKA, Shirley and the Shirlettes). Or perhaps you're thinking of that time you fell (even further) off the deep end and were singing to your own vomit. It was an odd time, and we're glad you've gotten better (as you possibly can be).

Uh...What's the difference between ponies and furries?
Bronies (the term is primarily meant for male fans, I believe the term for females is Pegasisters... but some females prefer "Brony" also, so it's a situational thing) is a designation for the fanbase of the latest My Little Pony generation... for the most part, it's crazies like me who like to talk about the show, create memes about it, and generally annoy non-bronies with our obsession. Despite the show only being just over a year old, conventions such as Bronycon and other such events have already started up around the world.
Furries, by contrast, tend to be more general... whereas bronies are pretty much narrowly defined by the show itself, furries are a group that can pretty much include anything even remotely anthropomorphic... and even some things that really aren't. The major problem with furries is that even though I'm sure there are relatively normal furries out there, it's such an all-encompassing ideology that it's attracted some even more bizarre sub-cultures, which are often more obnoxious and give what might otherwise be "mainstream" furries a horrible reputation.
in some cases, furries are people that feel they honestly are they're cartoony anthromorphic alter ego's, it is the fact that they're all so non-realistic that makes me laugh about it, either way, it covers a broad spectrum of a whole lifestyle, to sexual fetishes, I remember reading an online article not that long ago from a teenage boy who was kicked out of his home when he told his parents he wanted to eat dinner at a table like normal people, i'll see if I can dredge it up.
Bronies also tend to become more empowered by knowing you aren't one of them, whereas furries will often become angry and call "fursecution"
Buh... wha... what's going on...?
Anyone feel like they got off the train at Never-Never Land? Mainstream furries, bronies, and fursecution. What next a H. R. Puff n Stuff revival?
