Does anyone know of a male_basic mesh (for FF) that has a hood, cape and staff? Sorry, I'm still on the Moon Knight thing.
I've just recently went thru and catalogued I don't know how many meshes and skins, and can't think of one. But you might be able to throw something together with nifskope. He uses a single long staff. correct? I know there's a GL Manhunter mesh with a long staff, maybe others out there. Can you try nifscoping the staff and kf's from that onto an existing Moon Knight mesh.
I'm at the point where I could probably put it together, but I'm kind of backed up on requests at the moment. Maybe in a few weeks if no one has tackled it by then or you haven't made one yourself. I know I've got a few Moon Knight meshes/ skins already so I'll look at what I've got.
I think wizard_staff_t is my best bet, but I'm really picky and I don't like the fact that the staff is a little fat and the refl isn't enabled on it. Sadly, I don't know how to skope and can't seem to find a tutorial for Freedom Force. I was hoping I could just take parts from one guy and put them on another with nifskope, but I don't know if that's how it's done or not. Do I need 3D Studio Max or Blender? I'm confused.
I don't know alot about nifskope yet. I'm only using it for lighting right now. You could probably change the reflect on the staff thtough the lighting options in material for the staff, but I'm not sure.But you can use it to transfer an animation from one kf to another if they're compatable and also transfer an item as well. If you had a staff you'd found with a skull on it, you could swap out the staff on the wizard and give him the new one. I've done something like that a few times. If you look at the Trek meshes I did a while back, I attached characters like Kirk and Spock to a Tommyboy mesh and swapped in a tricorder, phaser and phaser rifle to replace his.
I'm mainly using Blender. If worked a little with Max, as well as Milkshape, sketchup and Gmax, but decided to concentrate on Blender.With Blender I could take Moon Knight and transfer him onto the wizard and he would use the wizard's kfs.
I'd have to look at the Wiz, but I was thinking about using Bearded's Joker. If you look at it, he has a large cartoon hammer that appears in a smash down animation and also a swing animation. I would put Moon Knight on that and swap out the hammer for the staff. The staff would only be seen in those 2 animations. Otherwise, the staff would always be present - unless that's what you want.
I don't think the staff needs to be there all the time, but it doesn't really matter to me. There are a lot of staff animations to choose from: Gren's Firelord, INK's Gambit, Afghan Ant's Midnighter skope, KennX's Swashbuckler, Tommyboy's Manhunter, and some of Gren's newer meshes have polearm weapons and the animations are the same as a staff attack would be.
There's a male_belt_staff here;
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Freedomforcemesh4/
Check this out and see if you like the animations. Since its male basic, it should be easy to add a Moon Knight mesh to it.
Otherwise, see if any of the ones you listed are male_basic compatable.
I' ll try to get to it when I can. It should mean just skoping the staff onto a male_basic_hood_cloak mesh. In Blender, might be even simpler.

If you're willing to go get FFVTTR your problem's solved;

If not, the Moon Knight here;

has a sword anim that could be swapped to a staff
here, let me post my new moon knight skope on my yahoo group. also check out my champions page for another moon knight skope
EDIT: oh my reading comprehensions not that good. thanks for the promo random days, also i've got a new skope up on my first yahoo group
Random - Thank you for all of the info. I endeavor to learn how to skope my own characters as soon as possible. In the mean time, if you're working on a Moon Knight mesh anyway, I strongly suggest Kenn X's Swashbuckler as a base. It's a male_basic mesh with a huge inventory of staff combat animations.
DM - Oddly enough, I just discovered that I already have your Moon Knight mesh. Haha. I had it stashed in a separate file of things I've downloaded for FFvTTR. I have recently been focused on finding meshes for the regular FF version, but I'm glad to know I have one for FFvTTR.
Thank you both for your replies! I had been away from FF for a while and am excited about all of the new stuff I'm finding for both games.
DM - I just installed your Mister Miracle skope. It is awesome! Great job!
