Title: C6 MkIII Upgrade?
Post by: Helix on February 03, 2012, 05:54:59 AM
The version I downloaded from Alex's site doesn't show up in the character tool at all....and only shows as a white silhouette in the game. Does anybody have a version that works? Or can someone tell me how mo make the one I have work?

I'd have to look, but if its an upgrade, it made need some skins from the original version to show up. You may just have a partial set of what's been changed from the original version. Where exacytly on Alex's site did you get it? C6's section?

A white silhouette usually means it's missing the _glow and/or _refl files.

JK - Thank you for your response. I checked and it has all of the flow and refl files.

Random - Thank you for your response. I downloaded it from C6's section at Freedom Fortress. The skin and the mesh came together.

try copying the skin to a separate, non-standard folder and switching skins. Sometimes FF can be finicky about loading the standard.

Checked it out and it worked for me. You have to do the following - make sure that the skin directory is extracted off the the main character directory and rename the "C6" directory under skins to "standard" I saw no kf file in the zip so you'll need one from one of the other versions

Thank you. I finally got it. I had originally just taken all of the image files and dumped them into a new folder on my desktop. FF apparently didn't like that. This time I left everything as it was in the .zip file and then renamed the C-6 skin folder as "standard" and that did the trick. I guess attempting to bypass all of the unnecessary subfolders made the FF gods angry.
