Title: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
Post by: Magnificent on January 02, 2012, 07:57:05 AM
I liked it just as much as the others.  It's not going to win any awards for most original storyline, but it's still a solid story with solid acting and almost completely seamless effects.  The only drawback is that apparently I missed the memo that tonight was "Loud #&@^(@*s Who Like To Talk During Movies Night".  :banghead:

You know, I've heard good things about this.  I might have to check it out.

Only if by "solid" you meant paper thin and incredibly contrived.  It's a series of stunts connected by the absolute thinnest connective tissue possible.

Dont waste your money, especially if you value coherence.

It's too bad these movies aren't more like the original series (great stories with great suspense/intrigue and an ensemble cast), the original series was classy.  The new movies are just flashy, yet empty vehicles for Tom Cruise to be a big action star in...Blech.

Done!  :P

Too bad about the movie. We re-watched the first three last month and, while none were what you could call impressive, we were thinking we might give this one a shot. Plus, "Ghost Protocol"? I was hoping Simon Pegg might be doing an homage to his Shawn of the Dead role.  ;)
