Title: Skin Issues
Post by: Greenheath on December 23, 2011, 07:02:20 PM
I just recently started skinning and ran into some problems. Any custom skins made for the heroes in  :ffvstr: (they're the only ones I've tried so far) have this glitch, but not the custom characters built into the game (action girl, capeman, etc.). So I make the skin in GIMP, then save it, then make the character in the game (selecting the custom skin, naturally) and it appears here as it should. Once I enter the rumble room, however, the character looks like the original character does. Even stranger, after deleting a skin I wasn't pleased with that also had this problem, I was shocked to see it appear in the character creation screen as I clicked thru minuteman's skins. Why is the game still finding this skin after I deleted it? and why doesn't the skin show up in the rumble room?

I've had this issue as well. I believe that if you convert your skins to (.DDS) format, it should be alright.

I suspected as much. How exactly does one do that?

I use Paint.Net which has a plug-in for it. There should also be a converter that you could download.
