Is there a mesh anywhere of just a male_basic with full-length blades (retractable or not) attached to the wrists? Think Deadpool's portrayal in the Wolverine: Origins movie... similar to that. If anyone could point me in the right direction to such a mesh (or better yet, skope one for me if you're not busy and feeling generous?), I would be most appreciative.

You could probably use one of Renegade's Wolverine meshes and hide all the extra pieces with Nifskope.
The best choice is Wolverine_Brown_Ren as it can be stripped down to male_basic.
