Howdy folks, I've got something I thought I'd share with y'all. A good friend of mine just released a little device he created, and given that y'all are a tech savvy crowd, I thought y'all might be interested in it. Essentially, he created a little metal ring with screen-friendly adhesive that can be attached to a smart phone or the like, going over the on-screen directional pad or joystick, so that your hands will actually get some tactile feedback when they're about to slide off of the controls. When he first told me about it last year, I thought that it was a really great idea, simple and really effective. Anyway, they're cheap, and they make a huge difference with those types of mobile device games, especially for a dinosaur like me who's used to having a controller in his hands. You can learn more about them at the address below.

I'm not a smart phone or mobile gamer, but this seems like a good idea to me. I'm surprised a big company hasn't already thought of it! I hope he filed a patent for the concept!

We were too, but he was actually the first to patent the idea. I thought for sure Apple or somebody would already have done this.
But the really important question - is it "thumb-umper" or "thum-bumper"?

When he makes the logo, he should use one of those "double Bs" like the Binder & Binder logo or something like that.
