After skoping some Hydra goons and Hand ninjas, I was wondering what group to skope next. Any suggestions are welcome.
A.I.M or Skrulls would be nice.
Or even something from the DC universe. :)
circe's beastmen ;)
Or Ratmen :P
Not sure who the Beastmen or Ratmen are, but Skrulls and AIM are on my list.

By "Ratmen," I just meant any type of Rat-like humanoid.
You know, for all those Rat villains out there.
The Splinter mesh from the TMNT mod would make a good base if the clothes were removed :)
Its a lot more work, but since they are basic humanoid, I could probably take a wererat from NWN and convert it to FF. Things like the Giant Scorpion and sea creatures I was looking at earlier had problems in that there are no pre-existing kfs I could use to go with them.
I have another batch of Hand ninjas to finish, then I'll take a look at either the Skrulls or A.I.M.
Just out of curiosity, what is there in regards to DC villain groups?
How about this fellow?

The mesh is by Bearded...I did a couple of skins for him. I just can't recall what Yahoo group I got him from.
Dana
Right off hand I can think of the Hive for the Teen Titans, Green Lantern's Manhunters and the Batman/ Superman Revenge Squads, though I think those have been done.
How about some sidekicks for Aquaman's Black Manta or using GL's Faceless Hunters

I'll have to try and find my HIVE skin, and put something together for them. I started the Manhunters, at least one anyway, but I'll put a few more together. For the Manhunters, it's just a matter of skinning them or finding a skinner for them.

ooo, would you mind sending those skins my way? (my e-mail is "holy_pilgrim90@yahoo.com" no quotes)
You just reminded me I had that mesh stashed away somewhere.
And for those of you who don't know where it's located, here you go :) (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Beardedinlairmeshes5/files/)
LOL...I just found Beard's Yahoo group and was going to post the link, I'm too slow...Thank you, Spyder. I just uploaded the ratman skins to one of my Yahoo groups (below).

In the miscellaneous skins folder.

Thanks, Dana
No prob.
I know this would be unconventional as 'cannon fodder,' but I wouldn't mind more/updated s.h.i.e.l.d agents. The 'heroes' tangle with them often enough. haha. I like all the other ideas.
Did anybody mention Hellfire goons? Pretty easy, since they are just male_noface with various weapons.

Style has a batch or two at COF (I think), I don't know if there's anything I could do to improve on them.

I have his pack. It's well done, and nicely individualized, but for cannon fodder I'd like something a little more, er, generic, or standardized. Like the Hydra goons. but it was just an odd thought ;)

These also have been done, I think by Area34, very well. But there may be other versions that could be done, I dont know.

Generic and standardized versions also exist in various forms from Ren's meshes to the ones that were made for FF1.

Yes, Area did a pack, and some VERY old ones exist from the FF1 days that may no longer be available since that site seems to be dead due to being a geosite.
How's about some generic scary clown thugs? Or some Riddler gang members? Or maybe Two-Face thugs?!? (I blame Arkham City)
I really like the idea of beating up some Hive gang members. Maybe the Cult of Brother Blood?
Someone mentioned the League of Assassins in another thread, that would be fun to check out.

Does anyone have some good pics of the HIVE gang members?
I found pictures of their DC Online versions:

I can't really think of a classic, iconic look for them...
You know I've asked about sentinels. Not the larger kind, but the smaller human sized kind as such from the older X-Men arcade game. Anyone ever thought about that?

I tried skoping down parts of a sentinel mesh onto Renegade's Robotman mesh for a version of those kinda sentinels but it didn't quite turn out very well since I'm still a rookie at skoping and skinning. I might revisit that mesh skope idea in the spring next year since I managed to put together Martha/No-Girl skope without going too insane.

Could someone shrink the Sentinel mesh with Nifskope to get them human sized?
I tried that, but since not only are my skills lower than amateurish, the keyframes wouldn't fit for a mesh of that size.
Are you shrinking the mesh alone,or the mesh and the armature as well? I think if you shrunk the armature the kfs would work. If not you could still shrink the mesh and tie it to a different, human size armature and use it's keyframes. If nifskope can't do it, Blender could.

kind ofa newbish question, but what is the armature? is that the same as the scene root?
The armature is the skeleton, the set of bones inside the mesh. The keyframes move the bones. Each poly of the mesh is tied to one or more bones to move with the skeleton in a process called "weight painting". Usually the poly's are grouped together in a "vertex group" for each bone, IE left thigh, neck, forearm, etc. A poly near a joint, like elbow or knee, can belong to more than one bone so either can move it.

I have a bunch of generic Sentinel skins for Male_Heavy if you're interested.
