Hello everyone,
First of all I'd like to mention that I'm a long time Freedom Force fan and am so grateful for the wonderful work you guys have done over the years that has added to the wonderful game experience with all your talents (especially for the technically challenged such as myself!)
I have a small request to see whether anyone knows of the existence of or the possibility to hex a cape to INK's female_basic_amazon_newhair mesh? As I mentioned I would have no idea where to start with this myself and have not been able to find this mesh anywhere.
Would be extremely grateful for any help and my email is on my profile if anyone is willing!
Once again, cheers people and please carry on the good work, it is greatly appreciated!
Freedom Force is one of the best games ever in my honest opinion!
I did that for a Supergirl skope I recently made. I'll try to release her tonight.
Awesome! should I mention I use :ff: and not :ffvstr:
It's a no-go then. :( I'm :ffvstr: only.
:( well, thanks for trying anyway! seems like a helpful community this. I saw the Supergirl mesh you mentioned and it looked awesome! it's a shame cause I really like your work but i've just never gone on to use :ffvstr:
It actually is intended for a supergirl skin of mine on the female_basic_amazon_newhair mesh, but i'm afraid skinning is as far as I can go.
Do you have a link to Ink's mesh? I would be willing to at least make the attempt.
Thanks! heres the link:

Unfortunately, Ink's mesh isn't set up to take a cape. even though I can add on, it doesn't work with the keyframes, and the other keyframes I've tried don't work with the mesh. Unless someone beats me to it, I'll try again later when I have more time.
Awesome for trying man, really appreciate it, do hope it works out in the end!
If AA doesn't mind, it should be possible to convert a FFVTTR to FF with Blender. I don't know if the kf's would work so you might have to look around for something compatable.
I wouldn't mind looking around for compatible keyframes myself once the mesh is available
Which part of ink's mesh do you want? Is it the hair, the body, or both? If random can't backwards convert
AA's, then I'll keep trying other options.
What I'm interested in is keeping the hair from ink's mesh and adding it to a body with a cape
That leaves me with more options, but it will probably be a few days till I can work on it.
No problem, really appreciate it!
It should only take a few minutes to import it and export it back out, I was waiting to see if AA had any objections to doing it.
I'm really sorry, the hair and head are attached to each other, so just switching out the hair to a caped mesh isn't going to happen for me, it's way above my skill level. And even though I was able to attach a cape to that specific mesh, I couldn't find keys that would work with it. Hopefully Randomdays will be able to help you out. Again, I'm sorry I couldn't help you out.
Just sent a PM to AA asking permission. I could probably go the other way and detach the hair and move it to the other mesh in Blender, but it would be much quicker just to convert. Thelast choice would be to take CB's mesh with the cape and put a new armature in it with Blender so that it would animate, but that's a bit of work as well.
Hey guys, You don't have to go through so much trouble.
What's the problem you were having with the skope? It took me just a few seconds to do it.
Since the head and hair are connected, all you have to do is skope that head and hair piece onto a mesh with a cape.
I used Gren's FVE_Phobia mesh since it was one of the first female_basic meshes with cape animations I could think of.
The only trouble is that cape on that mesh puffs out a bit like thors, so some of her hair is under the cape.
el_raxxx, just point me to a cape that you like and i'll send you the skope.
Really, any basic cape suitable for a supergirl mesh will do, thanks alot everyone can't believe I've received so much help! really happy to see freedom force still peaks people's interests as much as mine.
ok, just pm me your email.
Keep in mind, the head and hair of this mesh are skinned with an eve.tga file,
My email address is on my profile, once again thanks loads!
