Gryphon's Spider-man skin?

ShawDAMAN, on this forum we try to respect artist rights, so using other people's skin without permission is considered a no-no. If you'd like to use somebody else's work contact them and ask (as you did so with me), the response will very depending on the person. If you can't reach them, best not use their work. However, I again highly recommend trying to skin things yourself.
Now using other skinners work (we call this kitbashing) is generally considered alright if it's just for your own personal use, not to be released to others. In this case you need to upfront when you preview the skin on the forums, and generally it's probably best not to display it without a good reason.
So in this case you've used Gryphon's Spider-Man skin. Have you asked Gryphon if that's alright? Has the read-me file given permission for this kind of use? If the answer to both these questions is no, then you need to either a) state that this skin will be for personal use only, or b) go back and update this skin perhaps with another person's Spidey (with permission of course) or ideally your own attempt at Mr. Parker.

Anyway, the spider parts look pretty decent and you've done a good job making the costume look torn.
Whoops! Thanks. I did indeed send him an e-mail asking if it was OK to potentially release this, but haven't gotten a response. Since his last work I can find is from 2005, perhaps I'm not likely to.
Maybe I'd better delete this for now then, or as you said re-work it, unless I hear from him. Thanks for the input and sorry for the trouble.
