So, has anyone gotten it yet? If so, how is it?
From the videos I've seen of game play it looks like Modern Warfare 2.5. First Call of Duty game since #4 came out that I'm not excited for.
CoD multiplayer is cool and all, but I'm not sure if i wanna pay full game price on something that's essentially the same game for the past couple of years.
Battlefield 3 on the other hand looks rlly good.
Some guys in my IT class told all of us not to bother with it. It's exactly like 2. I sure do love the commercial for it though.

I got it already. I'm a multiplayer junkie (XBOX), so I like it on that front.. but it's nothing earth-shattering. As of right now, I actually like Black Ops even more. (The first Modern Warfare was by far my favorite, though.) The campaign so far is kind of fun, but the maps online have this feeling like I've played them already, which is disappointing.
Can you do bots in split-screen multiplayer?
My son rented the game and it appears that no you can not use bots in split screen.
not sure if a friend of mine was serious when he said this but...
heard a few reviewers gave the game "glowing reviews" then realized they were playing Modern Warfare 2.
That said... I'm not a FPS fan, largely because I'm not a fan of multiplayer, but Battlefield 3 looked better than MW3.
Personally, I'm sticking to playing Skyrim.
I was going to play it , then I got Skyrim and then I was invited to the Star Wars beta.......Call of who???

Well, that settles it. We'll stick to Black Ops. I'd prefer an updated MW2 with bots. Heck, I'd be willing to spend my money on that, but it sounds like this game is a step backwards in at least one respect that's important to my group of friends.
