Okay. Throwing this out there.
As many of you recall, some friends and acquaintances of mine did a web series earlier this year (and I think are still doing it when time permits) called "Avengers Assembled". http://www.avengersassembletheseries.com (http://www.avengersassembletheseries.com)
Well, some other friends and acquaintances are now doing an Xmen Fan web series. They previewed the series about a week ago at an industry function here in Atlanta and now have the thing on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNe4PkhNaNg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNe4PkhNaNg)
Meanwhile... I'm getting the urge to do a web series again. I worked on one with some of the Xmen Fan Series gang a while back called Fighting Angels. However, I am not looking to do anything "directly comic book related". I figure with two web series that comic related going on in town, that doing so would be seen as "band wagon jumping" to some extent.
I have a short list of talent that I want to work with so far. One of them is from the Teen Wolf TV series and I might be working with him on another project next Feb. Just did a film with him called "Congratulations!" last summer. (It's still in post as far as I know. I only stepped in to do craft services.)
I like the mystery and crime genres. If I were going to do something comic related, I'd want to do something akin to the short-lived Vertigo series "House of Secrets" or the Vertigo miniseries "Scene of the Crime".
Thinking there could be some sort of video game tie-in. A friend of mine runs (and co-owns) a little indy video game store. He is interested in helping out and wants to do some videos anyway with some video game references to it to promote his store. Probably have to do it separate from the webseries BUT if we could get something in there occasionally, it'd be great.
Anyone willing to help brainstorm? I can pull together some pics if it will help.
Are you talking about a tie in to an existing video game, or making a new video game to go with your web series?
If its the former, I have some ideas about a possible Arkham City tie in. But not superhero comic-booky, think more Gotham Central or Astro City. An everyman POV of the crimes that convince regular Gotham folks to elect Sharpe as mayor sort of thing.

Think it might wind up being two separate projects. Came up with a good idea for a project involving video games. Going to do a mystery-thriller/crime-noir one as a separate project
