So he's a cop, that also fights crime by night as a vigilante?
so let me get this right so he's a cop by day crazy killer vigilante by night
could someone get dexter on the phone his gimmick has been stolen
yes that is sarcasm i know the punisher was created way before dexter, but this change is that moronic
Wow......so...Marvel movies = super awesome....but, Marvel TV = super suck?
Yeah. Won't be going out of my way to see this either. <_< lol.
thanks for the info
Sounds like Marvel's going the Wonder Woman route with their tv adaptations. Probably will suffer the same fate too.
I'd rather they did some series in the same continuity as the movies. That could be cool. Doesn't look like it's going to happen though.
It is debatable if any superhero can really be adapted to TV but I think The Punisher fares a better chance than any other... if he was on AMC, Showtime, HBO, FX or any cable network.
Dont get me wrong, this criticism is not born out of bloodlust or a love for cursing mobsters, but instead because for Frank to work he needs to be fairly dark, fairly troubled, like EARLY Dexter.
The cop angle is... cool... but I would almost prefer it if he was working odd jobs as a fugitive... one interesting element is that everyone knows the name Frank Castle.
Now what would rock is if Season 1 is him as a cop with a dark side, then he gets outed, and becomes a fugitive trully at war with both criminals and the system (similar to Punisher Max).
