Anyone else had their souls abducted by this game?
I, for one, am starting to see the world in cubes. Bad news that we have a pickaxe in the shed...
The Yuanling begged me to help him get this. Set up a Steam account of his own just for this purpose. He's loving it!
steam has minecraft? o.o
I run a SMP server.... but i'm mostly in creative mode building gigantic buildings..... (before 1.8 forced us to wipe the server I was working on a 150x75x60 mansion >.> just building the exterior took the better part of 4 days)
[edit]
weird..apparently after 1.8....I forget why we wiped the server then >.>

That's amazing. You should have backed up the building using MCedit before wiping the server. :(

Here at stately Wayne Manor.........
heh, it was a fun build but I never got done with the interior, halfway through the basement I found a canyon underground >.> I was reminded one of my -ex- OP's decided to use creative mode to destroy the spawn point, bedrock and all, so everytime anyone went near spawn the entire server shut down, hence why we had to wipe it :/ I would have backed it up with MCEdit but I have pretty terrible internet where I live now and I was too lazy to spend 20 minutes downloading the map >.>
Just got sucked in, spent some time learning it solo and now I'm on a friends server.
I have a nice wooden 2 story house with a basement and a chicken coop on the roof. Recent explorations got me diamonds and obsidian, so I am planning a nether portal in the basement soon.
As you can guess my play style is half adventure, half small projects... so I'm not one to build giant sculptures/structures. That said I like having a nicely civilized corner of the world.
Freedom Reborn server?
Just asking, y'know...
If that ever happens let me know and I'll spend some time in there...
Yeah, if someone sets it up, I'll join in.
I need my fix, and I could probably afford to pay for a server for a couple of months. Does anyone know what the best value server hosting sites are, and I could set one up for the FR bunch here.
I've never done it but I think it is about $30 a month, which is great if you have 1 or two friends go in with you (cheaper than an mmo) but otherwise feels a little weird.
I ran a test server on my computer for two days and it did not really affect anything. I might start up a proper server eventually but only when certain mods I'm curious about become multiplayer ready. In other words I want my own multiplayer world with my favorite mods, and if they are not available then I'm happy just playing single player with those mods and vanilla multiplayer on a server that I was invited to.
anyone played with the technic pack / tekkit SMP?
alchemy, electricity, muskets, nuclear reactors....... fun stuff
if anyone's interested in trying out tekkit SMP I run a small (10 person) server, which I may be expanding if it justifies the use.
Spoiler
server is survival, normal difficulty, tho with all the new stuff to explore, I may be taking it down to easy.
IP Address is 208.115.114.201:25614
easiest access is using the technic launcher in tekkit mode, found here: http://www.technicpack.net/launcher/
