If you haven't seen this whacked out, drug induced, genuinely brilliant cartoon, you must. Its stupid. Its mind numbingly stupid. But its the funniest thing I've seen in ages.
From the pilot episode (Finn and Space Lincoln ) to the episode where Gunter the Penguin (who's also the most evil being in the universe) has a kitten While Finn and Jake hide in the Ice King's house practicing their ninja skills to stop him from kidnapping princesess....
There. you see? read that again. Its is as insane as it sounds.
I've seen a few episodes as well, and it is so... strange. But in a good way. Probably the happiest post-apocalyptic series I've ever seen.
(I mean c'mon, "the Mushroom Wars"? yeek!)
There's a clip circulating for an upcoming gender-swap episode which looks adorable. Neil Patrick Harris guests, wheee!
You must watch the one with Ricardio . Thats an animated heart of an arch villain voiced by George Takei of Star Trek who wants to cut the heart out of princess bubblegum so he can.... make out with it.
Its just the most family friendly show on tv.
That's one I've seen. VERY messed up episode.
BTW you should see the "Getting Crap Past the Radar" entry this show has on tvtropes.org. Do they even HAVE a BS&P?
Read it.
And now I am more disturbed and In love with this show.
I'm sorry, I just find the art physically painful. I'm told it's quite clever and amusing.
It is. But I think that's part of the charm.
The show has been compared to kids playing with action figures randomly rather than a plot. But its just messed up fun.
I love this show too, but can only take so much of it at a time.
Recently i did a unit on children's programming with my students (all teachers themselves) and included some adventure time as a bit of a distractor (among Yo Gabba Gabba, Word World, The Backyardigans, etc.) and they loved it. I think one of my co-workers even started getting episodes for her son to watch.

The show is funny, but the art is a bit painful and my daughter loves it. I watch it with her sometimes and I'm just sitting there :shock2:
Two Words: Embryo Princess
Yeah, this show is funny occasionally...but it's just too weird.
