Title: Gotham High

If this was done right, this could have been a funny show

Sorry, but I still don't like the concept, at least not for the actual Batman.  A character based on Batman though, sure.

Love the art though.

Doesn't work for me either.

Put me among the detractors.  As artists goofing around, the character designs are kinda neat; as an actual show, it's animated gangrene.

Think of it as a comedy.  As a serious Batman action show....No, it would fail.  As a 15min webshow?  Something on the side, so to speak, I think it would be funny.  I also like the art style.

That's clever, and it would be funny and fun in a parody, or in a limited form.  However, I agree, that would be a horrible idea for a real show.

I would really work well as a web series. I'd watch it.

I get the Arkham crowd in High School angle... there's room for a lot of wicked parody there.  That almost suckered me into accepting it.

But after I thought about it awhile I realized... If Bruce isn't Batman, what's the real point?

I mean besides the angsty Bruce/Selena/Barbara teen love triangle.

What would he actually do?  More to the point, what could he do that wouldn't allow the grown-up versions of those villains to guess his secret identity in about 2 seconds flat the first time he showed up in the cowl?

The concept pretty much sucks the life out of the whole Batman mythos just for the sake of some cheap laughs and a blatant attempt to suck in the preteen/teen viewers.

Personally I think if it was treated as an "Elseworlds" it could be fun.  Sure Bruce isn't Bats yet, but he could still be the guy trying to do right in a world school full of crime.

(Heck: I miss the whole Elseworlds books.)

Hit Batman in the head and do a "dream" episode, but a show would kill me. Still do love the art, more as clever pin ups of course than as a show I would watch.

To be honest, you don't need Bruce in a show like that.  He wouldn't fit in.  Even if this were a kiddie comic (ie Tiny Titans)  (http://www.google.com/images?q=Tiny+Titans&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=thwtTf79C4WBlAfNxd3xCg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=2&ved=0CDMQsAQwAQ&biw=1920&bih=1007) I think it would be funny to read

This reminds me of what KidsWB originally wanted Bruce Timm and Co. to do to Batman: The Animated Series.  Fortunately, we got Batman Beyond instead.

I with the guys who think this would a fun parody on a temporary basis.  But taken seriously, it has lots of problems.  Namely, I can't imagine Bruce going to a regular high school.  He would be moody teenager obsessing on getting revenge for the loss of parents.  He would probably be obsessing over proms, pimples, and homework.
