Title: armored mesh with a visible face?
Post by: swede4444 on January 01, 2011, 03:51:41 AM
Does anyone know of a mesh for an armored character (i.e. Iron Man) where the person's face and head are visible? Preferably for a male character? Thanks for reading, either way.

Depends on what you have in mind, Swede. There are a few helmeted meshes out there, most of which you would have to skin the armor on, and then you could always "make" something with a Tom Versatile mesh.

Got a picture?

There are also jik's war hammer 40k meshes that are armored and you could hex their helmets off

Thanks guys. I haven't learned to do hex editing yet, though I hear it's easy. With my military commitments, I'm still gathering resources, hoping to do more when things slow down later this year. Where could I find those war hammer meshes?

Jik also has stuff here:

If you are a Spiderman fan, this is where you would find a couple of Spidey meshes.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is Silvermane (if he's even been done yet), but the body might be a little too spindly for what you have in mind.

What a great community. Thanks for your help everyone.

Panther_Gunn, Silvermane may be around, but he's not listed here: http://gpwarehouse.freedomforceforever.com/mmesh/index.php.

Daglob, thanks, I'll check those links. Not a big Spidey fan personally, but thanks for the tip. I'll pass the links along if I run into one.

Also a good idea. Thanks. I'm hoping to find something I can reskin for personal (non-release) use. Should I just ask him, or does anyone know if he's amenable to that sort of thing?

Since the Luthor mesh in question is mine, not AA's (though he may well have 'skoped the original to get his version), the answer is "yes", you can reskin it all you want.
