Title: After reinstalling FFvTTR and launching I get this...

Had this game uninstalled for awhile now and wanted to play it again. Any clue why I would get this error? I have reinstalled it five times already and get this error every time.

I can't help with this specific problem I'm afraid.  I can tell you that I couldn't get the game to work when I got a new machine - perhaps it doesn't work well with newer operating systems? - but i dont' recall if that was the error message I received.  In the end I got FFvTTR during a Steam sale; this version worked fine for me.

I don't know how to fix it, but what I do know is FFvTTR (non-steam) does work on Windows 7 and XP.

I went into safe mode and installed it just fine.  Now I am trying to remember how to merge fx and sound dats to get them to work in FFX 3.0. In FFEdit I am clicking merge dats, for write to I select ffx3 and from I select data. This didn't work so I reversed the order and that didn't work. I even tried copying and pasting the generic folders from data to the ffx3 folder but that didn't work either.  :banghead:

This is the wrong forum for this thread. Regardless, why are you trying to merge FFX dats with the base game? Do you have custom FX installed in the base game? Just trying to understand, as I thought this was a clean install.
