Title: Movie Memory
Post by: BentonGrey on October 12, 2010, 07:24:10 PM
Howdy guys, I'm hoping y'all can help me out.  I've been trying to remember the title of a movie I saw a long time ago.  It was one of those 80's action flicks wherein the heroes returned to Vietnam to free abandoned American P.O.W.s, and the basic premise, as near as I can remember, was that a wealthy fellow hires a team of mercs/soldiers to go in and effect this rescue.  They get into the country alright, but their money falls short, and they can't get much in the way of weapons.  Their contact is only willing to give them a dusty trunk full of old WWII equipment (tommy guns, M1's, etc.).  That's the part that is sticking in my mind.  Does anyone else remember this film?

Ah-ha!  I just figured it out, it's Uncommon Valor.  I need to track this down...

There were a few movies like that back then  You might consider the M.I.A. movies with Chuck Norris.
