Title: Keyframes changing the size of the mesh
Post by: John Jr. on October 12, 2010, 04:48:11 AM
Guys, I need your help.
I just finished a skope and noticed the keyframes are changing its size, making the shoulder's length too big. I edited the bones with NIFSkope and it looked good there, but when I check it in CTool or in the game the shoulders are distorted again.
There is any way to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

What did you do to the bones in NifSkope?

Also, if the shoulders are too big, how is the size of the arms?

What I would recommend trying is to find the "Bip01 L Clavicle" and "Bip01 R Clavicle" and on each of them do a Transform, changing the scale to some percentage to get the shoulders down to the appropriate size.   But, if the arms are already a good length then this will shrink them.   So you'll need to find the "Bip01 L Upper Arm" and "Bip01 R Upper Arm" and do a Transform to each of them, for a value that is the reciprocal of the value you used on the clavicle nodes.

For example, change the L Clavicle to 0.91 times its original size; change the L Upper Arm to 1.10 times its original size.  (1 / 0.91 = 1.0989010989010989 which rounds to 1.10).

Another example, change the L Clavicle to 0.80 times its original size; change the L Upper Arm to 1.25 times its original size.  (1 / 0.80 = 1.25).

I edited the position of the Clavicle, Kenn. Your idea looks a lot better than mine, I'll try it.
Thanks for the help!
