I know this is kind of old news at this point, but I just found out about it the other day and it makes me AMAZINGLY happy.
Interesting, this is the first I've heard that the new host would be female. This raises my interest for the series.

Based on the copy I'm guessing this character will be more in the anti-hero style rather than a full serial killer. Meh, who cares, I'm glad to see the carnage symbiote back and I'm kind of happy it is a female character for a change.
Cletus Kasady will always hold a special place in my heart, but I really am glad that Carnage will be back, even if in a different form. My prediction (AKA, what I would really love to happen)? Shriek.

Shriek was my first thought too, but I'm thinking they'll go original.
Yeah... still though, I would love a Maximum Carnage reunion, as indirect as it would be. =P
Plus, maybe this new and recent exposure for Carnage could earn him a DLC spot in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
I thought Shriek too but there are two reasons I doubt it: the character has noise powers and the character is already a psycho. Sounds like they want to make the character more conflicted than pure psycho.
That said... where is shriek? I hope they use this book to bring her back.

Yeah, seriously! I think she was horribly underused post-Maximum Carnage. She has the potential to be a really fun villain beyond just another faceless psychopath.

Wouldn't be surprised with MJ becoming a Spidey enemy though under Joey Q. I'm sure the story would play out that she actually loves him so much that it would come back around to hate. I have faith in Bendis...its the only reason I still read his version of Spidey.
Yeah it really wouldn't surprise me to hear the new Carnage is MJ.
But the article claims the new carnage is a totally new character.
