Yeah, Bruce Wayne is rumored to have an appearance on the show and possibly appear as Batman but they still have to work out the details of that script yet. Lots of folks asked the Smallville panel about Wayne showing up since it's the final season and all they said was "maybe" and "might have clues later" and of course the bats showed up in the season 10 teaser.. so guess we will have to wait and see.

One speculation I read was that instead of Batman we'd be getting Cassandra Cain aka Batgirl. This was based on a comment by Geoff Johns that she would be appearing in something non-comics, and that it is supposedly something that Johns would be writing -and Johns will be writing for Smallville again this year. So it's possible she'd be in Smallville but it could just as easily be Young Justice or Batman: Arkham City, or something else entirely. I'm hoping it's not Smallville myself, it'd probably be a strange fit.
There's rumors Michael Rosembaum will return as Lex for the finale :D

Biggest reason to watch the final season.
Ooh, a preview.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi5vMNa_72Y
Some of the highlights, the suit is shown (apparently the one used in Superman Returns) Clark Flies, Lionel, Jonathan, Kara, and Brainiac are all back, and the Cadmus Project emerges.
Midnite already posted that trailer bud.
Yes but it's so good, you have to see it twice.
I just read that Aquaman will be among the many many returning guest stars for this season.
Also confirmed Marsters as Brainiac 5, Hawkman, Jonathan Kent, Lionel Luther, Hawkgirl, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle 3, possibly Blue Beetle 2, Lana Lang, and Lex Luthor.
So I'm up to beginning of season 6 on catching up. Man, I cannot believe I stopped watching this show. Something about watching shows on DVD all at once makes them seem so much better.
I agree with the guy who commented on the video that if Clark flying is a dream I'll burn the whole dvd set :banghead:

After some more careful viewing of the teaser video and running across rumors that more Teen Titans will be appearing in the final season.. I am officially changing my opinion that those "bats" I stated earlier were actually Ravens and we all know what Titan is connected with Ravens. Yup, I definitely wonder how they will handle her character.

I also saw them as ravens. I find the inclusion of Batman extremely unlikely at this point. I would, however, welcome a reference at some point to a nut running around in Gotham dressed like a bat. One throwaway line, that's all I'd need.
I know the old lady at the hospital was a pretty good dead giveaway, but... did anyone else know this stuff?
Spoiler
Souders and Peterson revealed that the theme for season ten will be "facing the ghosts of your past and how [the effect of seeing the past] helps you move on in the future"; as such, the return of previous cast members will play into this. Souders and Peterson have also chosen not to erase Lois's memory of Clark's secret, something she discovered in the season nine finale. Instead, Lois will help Clark do what he needs to do to get away and fulfill his destiny without telling him that she knows. The producers explained that there would be "some twists and turns" before Lois tells Clark that she knows. In June, Michael Ausiello confirmed that Tess Mercer will be "reincarnated next season", after having died in the season nine finale. Initially helping Clark and Oliver at Watchtower, a secret from her past will define whether Tess ultimately ends on the side of good or bad. Chloe's ending will also be told "in a way that's fitting for Chloe." She will "sacrifice" herself for Oliver, who has been informed that she was killed. As a result, Oliver will spend much of the season looking for Chloe, trying to find who is behind her murder.
Similar to season eight and nine, there will also be a new main villain. The producers revealed that Darkseid will fulfill this role for the final season, but will be a different incarnation than his comic book counterpart. They explained that Darkseid's presence will be felt throughout the whole season, but that he will not actually appear until near the end; unlike in previous seasons where the main villain was present from the start. Instead, Darkseid's minions—Granny Goodness, Desaad, Glorious Godfrey, and others to be named—will appear throughout the season as the physical presence for Clark to battle. The executive producers also wanted to take a look at the history of Smallville's Clark Kent in the 200th episode of the series. According to Peterson, "[The episode will] explore a little bit of the past, the present and the future. We kind of do a little look back to where we've been and we also take a look at where Clark is going."
Anyone else excited to see the final season of Smallville starting tonight?
Well, maybe not the startg part, but i'm really looking forward to all the "guest" episode (supergirl, pa' kent, luthor father and son, and of course lois's mom...)
Sooo much promises too (the suit, the batman cameo); but let's wait and see before getting too excited
The premiere was pretty good. We have, among other things, Cadmus, the Superman suit shown three separate times and multiple Lex clones, some good, some bad.
I liked the Jonathan Kent appearance.
Looking forward to tonight's episode.
Hawkman
Hawkgirl
Deadshot (please don't screw this one up!)
Plastique
I'm going to have to go back and get some of the past seasons. heh heh.
YEEEEESSSSS!!!!
I think I'm going to enjoy every MINUTE of this season!
Not sure that I liked Deadshot as a cowboy, but otherwise he was cool. Loved the engraved bullet thing.
Also liked the introduction of the Suicide Squad, and the final scene at the end with Clark in a Superman like pose. Oh and the name was actually dropped, by Lois.
Well... I guess spoiler tags are not needed in a thread that says ***SPOILERS***
I was quite careful to avoid any major spoilers. Nothing I said at all ruined the plot. Fine for a thread marked spoilers.

Nope, Ravens.
I saw them as ravens too.
First episode seems very good!
Spoiler
Is that the costume from Superman Returns?
Yes, yes it is.
Spoiler
They were actually offered both movie costumes, but thought the Returns costume worked better for them.
Spoiler
I wish the powers that be in the Superman verse would let that movie die!
And apparently Supergirl shows up in (almost) full costume tonight mission one little thing. Pic at the link.

That latest episode was....AWESOME! I like how they made fun of the "freak of the week" thing. Very clever....and what a great guest appearance!!!!
Spoiler
Clark Kent and Lois Lane!
Ok, this newest episode was freaking awesome, just for this scene.
Spoiler
The man Isis was trying to resurrect was Teth-Adam

I wonder if she realized it wasn't who she thought it was.
Also, I was kinda disappointed by something.
Spoiler
In last week's episode, Lois made it sound like Clark telling her his secret was a lot grander than it was. I mean her response was classic (maybe) but an office at The Daily Planet is hardly a big deal of a place. I guess I was just hoping for the rooftop. LOL!
and in another note:
Spoiler
I don't think Tess will make it through the season finale. I mean... it's kinda obvious that she isn't going to be trustworthy in the long run. Does anyone think she will either be forced to betray Clark by Luthor or that she will sacrifice herself in some way so that she doesn't have to choose between them?
I though the episode was pretty boring actually. but of course
Spoiler
the teth adam revelation made me smile (and kinda disappointed the resurection didn't work temporarily so that we could see black adam), and the final, even if it was anti-climatic (i had a bet on the rooftop too ^^) it actually made the show go forward.
Green-Arrow/Tess are clearly a better duo of actors than Clark/Lois, and i enjoy their scene more so i hope Tess won't die/leave mid-season.
I think she will either betray Clark for her Luthor (because if i understood he's aging faster than a normal kid?) or even better, when her luthor is adult he still will become evil and when she'll try to oppose he'll kill her, making him finaly snap and blaming Clark in the process (or "how to create an arch-nemesis 101")
I'm just glad that they are getting all the issue and hangup stuff out of the way early on instead of doing what I was expecting and waiting until the very end.
Missed that revelation you all were talking about though.

They are ravens (or crows)...
Spoiler
The Scarecrow?

Spoiler
Raven. There's already one Titan on the show, why not another?
This latest ep. was disappointing compared to last week, but at least it advanced the plot along.
Spoiler
The revelation saved the entire ep. IMO.
Spoiler
Green Arrow saving the day was pretty cool. Working in the Isis/ Osiris/ Teth Adam connection was a nice nod to the fans as well.
Hmmm. I'm having mixed feeling about this week's episode
Spoiler
Teri Hatcher's cameo was rather disappointing, mostly due to the fact that Erica Durance can't act, and her emotion scene was painful to watch. But Teri's monologue was very bland and generic too.
But on the other hand, Granny Goodness! We got a nice look at the Fury (using kryptonite weapons instead of being aliens works for me, they can still be a challenge for Clark) and Tess is now Lex's half sister...disturbing, but let's see where they go with that (it goes nicely with the sex tention between her and alexander, adding incest to the likely oedipe complex the kid will develop when his accelerate growth is finished).
And finally we see that the season finale will probably be th wedding. A little obvious, but after all it was a memorable plot of "Lois and Clark" and nobody complained then (except if they redo the clone wedding)
So yeah, mixed feeling. Definitely not as good/fun as the isis episode, but set things in motion for the following ones (granny + desaad + goddfrey...)

Oh good. I had heard the opposite, but he really does need to make one last appearance just to set things up right.

Awesome, he was the best thing about Smallville. I almost stopped watching after he left.
Great! I'd have been completely disappointed if he didn't appear. Funny, like Cat, yesterday I heard he wasn't going to appear too.
I heard there were some difficulties agreeing to terms between the two sides. I suspect it was something cheesy like "how many episodes they wanted him back for" or "script related".
Could've been something common like "scheduling" or "money related".
The reason they said before was that he wanted to concentrate on his writing. When he accepted, he said it was due to fan comments.
Of course the news yesterday was never from any official sources.

I knew it! When that needle bent, I just knew it.
Ah that explains thing. Not the direction I was expecting, but potentially interesting, especially as this means that Clark will be have to become a mentor.
From this week's episode:
"The Blur is not the disguise Lois, Clark Kent will be the mask"
And that is why You Fail Superman Forever.
One of the most important character trait is that Clark Kent is the real persona who disguise himself in superman because the people need him to. It's been used in contrast with Batman whose real self is the costume, who dress up as Bruce Wayne for the rest of the world.
he also said some really stupid things ("clark kent" is just a word, it's meaningless --> you think he'd be more attached to his father's name who sacrificed himself for him) and i was really disapointed with the scene in it's meaning (weirldy it was one of the only ones were Tom Welling can almost act with emotion)
One the other hand, glasses! Yeah. Too little too late, but they do have to wrap this up in half a season now.
