Title: Map Weirdness
Post by: BentonGrey on July 23, 2010, 04:00:34 AM
Howdy guys, I'm trying to work on mission 5 for the TMNT mod, but I'm running into some odd things with a map.  I'm trying to transfer the robot factory map over, and I've done this before.  It's been a few months, but while I may have forgotten some things, I am sure that I've before never experienced the error message I got today.  I put the mission file and textures where they need to go (hadn't gotten to the objects yet), but when I opened it up the map itself was pink, not recognizing the textures.  They are in the right spot and everything, so I wasn't sure what the problem was.  Now, I've had issues before when the map can't find its layout file, so I tracked down the file for map in the PC:T mod folder, and copied it on over.  When I tried to open the map with FFEdit, I got an error message about the function: 'create terrain' screwing up, because terrain already existed.  Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on, and how I can fix it?

Its not a similar issue to the one we had with the textures for the Shangri La map (TGA vs DDS), is it?  Did you check the Texture Directory path?

Thanks Dana, I think I sorted it out.  I don't know what the deal was, but I used a copy from the Mappack, and that solved my problems.
