Seconded. There are meshes for lots of He-Man characters, but none for Skeletor. Why? He's the coolest looking one outta all of em.

TUE, if you ever get the He-Man characters skinned, meshed, or skoped to your satisfaction, let me know.  I'll help you put together a small, simple mod for them.

That would be awesome! I would like to help out with this. I could make the hero files (I have most of the meshes) and convert them in game. I could also edit the text files. I know that may not sound all that helpful, but He-Man is the greatest!

Actually, that would be very helpful.  My knowledge of He-Man, as I was saying to TUE the other day, isn't exactly extensive.  With someone else to handle that type of detail work, it would be a big help.  I was thinking that I might put together the bones of a few EZScript missions for TUE if he were interested one day.  Nothing fancy, and I would like to leave it up to someone else to do the dialog, but I could handle some simple EZScripting if there was interest.

hero files can be tricky depending on which continuity you go with, it's something i'm working on basing the powers and levels on the new classics line( essentially all the past versions merged and streamlined) comparing them to other comic characters.

eg superman has more powers and is slightly stronger, but he-man has the upper hand due to his powers being magic based and anyone disagrees i've comic evidence to prove it :P

the main problem with a mod apart from you know meshes, skins, fx's and voices would be maps

UE, i'm not disagreeing but i'd love to see the superman/he-man info.

Well, I have most of the he-man meshes (save for Skeletor, Teela, Battle Cat/Cringer), so it's a pretty good selection. My mom (believe it or not) was a He-man fan when she was a girl, so if I get stuck, I can just ask her what to use. I don't know of many FX's or voices that will fit them, but I can try. I mean, I give all my characters voices (albeit, they're all from the original game), but I won't give them voices until you two are content with it.

As for the maps, imagination is key my friend. Don't forget this is Eternia, a place with all sorts of environments and technology, so there is a lot of room to make our maps.

As for He-man being stronger than Supermman, I'd have to agree. He is, after all, the strongest man in the universe :P

@herodad1: Looks like He-Man did fight Superman after all :P

Spoiler
I mean, look at the first one. Superman is worried that He-Man IS going to kill him if he fights him

Hmm, maps would be an issue, but with the variety that are available, I'm sure there would be some things that would work.

damn and here i thought i was alone in this, i'm hopefully going to be releasing HF with new skins once i get round to them, been batting ideas on power levels over at he-man.org, going to base them off something like this

as for maps, depending on the story most custom you need is maybe grayskull, snake mountain and royal courtyard the rest could be forests, deserts old village most of which are in game.

i always thought of doing a mod i would have done it in parts, start with skeletors origin, secret of the sword mayeb a few others.

but i'm getting ahead of myself, first things first i need to get the characters meshed(updates)/skoped and skinned. then maybe see if there is interest

interesting take, attributes is something thats been holding me back, it's trying to transfer the characters across without under or over powering them

I love physical resistance, it makes a character really tough without the troubles associated with invulnerability.
Title: Re: back to the 80's again

I agree.  I've pretty much thrown out Invulnerability except for a few guys like the Destroyer or Defensor, who's armor wouldn't be covered by the Body Armor attribute.

And oddly enough, he can actually stand up against my Superman character, but he isn't that over-powered since my Thor can beat him. They all pose a nice challenge to eachother.

It's kind of like Rock-Paper-Scissors, except it's Thor-Superman-He-man :P

Before you give up, didn't Bearded start a skull mask? I think he might have considered doing a little more. I know he did a sword. You might check.

I'm kind of surprised none of our meshers (Fusion included) haven't tried a MOTU versatile mesh...The characters share a lot of the same weapons (many of them have the same type of sword), clothing (loincloth and belt, boots) and even sometimes the same armor (arm bands, harnesses, etc...)?

Actually, even Teela and Evilyn (sp?) had the almost same outfits.

it would be to large a file i think, yeah most used the same basic shape but when you break it down the ones that matches parts armour and weapons varied so much it wouldn't be worth a versatile mesh

eg skeletor and zodac, or jistu and king randor

bump from an old thread

we've finally got a skeletor, this is a call out to anyone wants to team up with me and try and get some of the other obscure MOTU/POP characters done.

most can be done with skopes just armour or weapons would need meshed
