Title: Fringe Alternate Universe DC Covers
Post by: Alaric on May 21, 2010, 09:15:24 PM
I suppose I could have posted this in the Film, Television, Video and Music Discussion Forum, but since my own interest is purely through the comic-book angle, I figured I'd post it here, instead.

Not currently having a working TV, I haven't seen Fringe in a while, but, apparently, in a recent episode, an alternate universe was portrayed, where everything was similar to our own universe, but different. Apparently, several alternate versions of DC comics were seen in this episode, with art by actual comics professionals. The covers can be seen here (http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/05/21/geoff-johns-and-hank-kanalz-on-last-night%E2%80%99s-fringe-alternate-universe-covers/).

Personally, the two I find most intriguing are the Crisis on Infinite Earths cover, implying a post-Crisis world

That is really cool... I have to admit Crisis and Supes Returns are the best, very cool.

It also reminds me of a "what if DC did What If comics" thread I had on another forum... basically asking people what stories they would like to see get the What If treatment. Some of the big ones was if Sinestro remained a green lantern and What if Jason Todd remained as Robin (for a while Robin kept batman in check, batman with a crazy robin would be bad news).
