I would say, check Tommyboy's web page. You could probably check a few off your list there. There are a few Liberty Legion skins that have been done, the ones I have are by FLASH_22798, in a yahoo group named "The GGolden Age" or something to that effect. Wish I could help more, but I'm going blank.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Korvac was skoped by someone. Johnny Patches or Bevo I think. Mandrill I believe is at Johnny's section at the Champions of Freedom site. And there is a Fantasticar at His Yahoo group.

I've got Quasimodo at one of the Character Obscura groups, and Man-Wolf is on my list. Texas Jack did Stilt-Man (I think), so you need to check his revival groups.

Like Randomdays, I'm an old FF fan coming back for second helpings, so here's a question I know I'm gonna sound really stupid asking......what's a skope? This is a new term to me, and possibly others...

thanks guys and btw, its good to see you all again! I didn't know it til I came back, but I really love this place!

Thanks guys for all your help.

Not sure about your question either, but.....

They can probably explain it better, but there's a program called nifscope where you open a mesh and change it around, turning on/ off pieces of it or adding pieces from other meshes. Any mesh thats been altered has been "scoped" From what I've seen, even if it doesn't say say anywhere, most scopes are for FF3R and won't work in the original FF

Meshes can also be altered by being "hexed" or hex edited

I've also seen the term "kitbashing" but not sure what that means yet.

Anyone?

Kitbash means that you take a skin someone else has done and change it a little and offer it as an example of your own work. Call it artistic plagarism. Doing this is frowned upon...

The primary exception for this is base skins; those were released with the intention that others would take them and do Photoshop magic to them and change the way it looked and then release it as their own work (usually crediting the maker of the base skin). There are a few skinners that have posted permission to kitbash their work, but not many.

I've kitbashed some stuff to see what it would look like, and then created my own skin.

If you start with FF1 meshes when you scope, you end up with a FF1 scope; if you start with FFv3R meshes, you end up with FFv3R scopes. The problem is that a scope doesn't always convert from FF1 toFFv3R, but this is getting less and less common as the scopers get better and better at what they do.

I did a skope for a Madame Masque skin by El Insensatez that I can send you. It's for :ffvstr: only, though. (I also use Silver Sable on the same skope).

Ah, Gamora.. love that character. BlkCasanova has been creating a mesh for Gamora that I've been waiting for, so that's going to be done eventually.

I believe Afghan Ant made an old skin of Nekra, so it may be in one of his Yahoo groups. I tried skoping her, but her damn cape/wings were a pain in the butt.

FF3R is fine as I have both.

I'll check Ants groups and see if I missed it

Thanks

No luck on Nekra, but AA had a nice Killraven and Satana, So I can knock those off the list

Stiltman was found in Texas Jack's yahoo group

Most of the files from that Golden Age Flash group seem to be unavailable for download. Does anyone have them or know who created them? Thanks!

Yahoo groups are fickle sometimes. I would try again either later today or tomorrow. I was able to download a file, so by that standard, the group seems fine.

I had a major 'puter crash, so I don't have access to any of my stuff, otherwise i would send what ever you needed from there.

Sometimes there is also a weird quirk when downloading from the Yahoo sites. I use a download accelerator and when I click to download, it starts then gives me the "unavailable for download" message. If I right click on the file and choose "Save target as" it resumes the download. What is weird is that it doesn't matter which step I do first. It fails the first time and is successful the second time. You might try experimenting with this method. CyberBurn is right, though. Sometimes Yahoo is just temperamental.

As noted in another thread, it seems to be working fine now! Thank you both!
