Title: Secret Warriors
Post by: murs47 on April 12, 2010, 01:44:51 AM
I was wondering if anyone could please make a few skopes of the characters from the series.

Quake (Daisy Johnson)

The only thing I can think of for pieces are the gauntlets from Ink's Surge mesh.

Phobos

Hellfire ( J.T. James)

I'm not sure if Hellfire is possible. Is there a mesh that uses a chain for melee attacks?

If you take the ball off The Absorbing Man's ball and chain...

I was going to suggest X-dud's Ghost Rider, but I just checked the Nifskope permission list before posting and he's a "No".

No love for Druid or Yo-Yo?

I think I've got Yo-Yo figured out, just have to skope different hair on Ink's Jesse Quick mesh.

I'm holding off on Druid and Eden. If I make my skinning "to-do" list too long it begins to feel like a chore instead of something to enjoy.

That I will try.

You give me hope, then crush it in one sentence.

Sorry. :( Kind of like those skin or mesh requests where someone responds, "I used to have that one, but lost it when my hard drive crashed." Uh, thanks?

For Quake the belt from Ink's second Batgirl mesh should work. Hair I'd suggest Ink's Ultimate Jean Grey. The Gauntlets I'm not really sure, you might be able to get away with just a simple cylinder one.

For Phobos, if you want him really young looking you'll need to go with one of Ren's boy meshes. If you can go a little older you can try Tomato or Ren's teen meshes. Hair could be Ink's Kyle Rayner or that hair that AA used on Kid Flash, the Kid Flash one looks like it will match up easier. The Batgirl belt will work here too.

For Hellfire use the Kyle Rayner hair probably, and probably Beyonder's Volt jacket. Not sure about the chain.

I think Syn's Wolverine has better (easier to skin) mapping.

Does it have the same type of collar? Can't recall off the top of my head.
Actually even if it doesn't have the right collar you probably skope the right one on.

That Ghost Rider mesh would have been perfect for Hellfire! Damn you, restricted meshes!! :)

I hope you get these skoped up.. it'll be cool to have a team of super-powered SHIELD agents in the game.

Probably nothing. The Creel mesh uses a more muscular body, so the smaller body didn't past in correctly. I'm not sure if there's any easy solution for this. A more skilled skoper may be needed.

It looks like he was attacked by Famine.

And yeah, I think you need to use a male_muscular mesh to fit it right, which could pose a problem with the jacket.

Well that sucks. I was able to skope Daisy and Yo-Yo, surprisingly.

Would anyone happen to have the male_basic version of Thunderball? It's listed in the Master Mesh list, but I've checked all of Gren's groups and can only find the male_heavy variant.

Didmaybe Renegade do it?  I know he had a few wrecking crew members in his yahoo groups too.

He has a muscular_tall variant, but I couldn't find anything else.

I think that's it. Gren and Ren teamed up to do the Wrecking Crew, Gren did the male_heavy and Ren the muscular_tall version.

What characters are left needing skoping? I've been playing with kid skopes for awhile (Robin, Powerpack) and I can do him for you real quick.

Just Hellfire and Phobos for now. If you want to give either a shot, that would be great.

I have some ideas about fixing the hellfire skope. If you send it my way I could take a crack at it.

So I was able to fix the mesh, unfortunately nifskope crashed and I lost the skope. Tell me what else you want to skope on to him and I'll put him back together.

Impressive AA. How'd you manage it?
Looking forward to these skins Murs.

What about a belt Murs? Does Hellfire have a belt?

Looking forward to these skins Murs.

I just moved the bones until they were no longer distorted. I did run into some problems with the hand though but doing it again should be faster and I should be able to figure out the hand problems.

Neat, I didn't know you could do that.

How did you get the keyframes to no distort? Every time I've tried to move bones the animations are screwed up.

And I'll send Phobos to you when I get to the computer that he's on.

Ok, so I've attempted to reskope him and I'm still have the issue with the hands and all the extras. The jacket I put on the skope went insane. The only person I know who would be able to tackle this is JP. Or you should probably considering another mesh.

Does anyone have the male_muscular (ren's) version? I might have a better chance with that version.

Area, no the keyframes line up fine.

Why don't you use Whiplash_tvlite, Backlash or Constrictor by Tommyboy? Replace the whip with a chain. Or find that Zorro mesh based on Taskmaster?

That's a good suggestion by Avalon.

And I wonder if that bone trick would work with a female_basic body on a male_basic mesh.

That's an excellent suggestion Avalon. I feel like an idiot now. :(

AA, if you want to to give Av's suggestion a shot or I can do it. But, I would need help switching the whip for the chain. That I know I can't do.

I'll give it a shot. I'll have to find another chain (or skope one piece by piece), I dont think Absorbing Man's will play well.

Maybe the chain from tommyboy's absorbing man? His seems to be based on a muscular/heavy build too. Not sure if that will work.

Tommyboy has his Hawkman_tv mesh that has a mace on a chain that is male basic size.

Phobos has been sent. I sent you two different versions. I put in the email the pro's and con's of both. (I personally prefer the CapMarJR version.)
