Title: What determines shadow size?
Post by: NomadX on February 17, 2010, 03:20:41 AM
Not sure if this is the right section, but I'm trying to figure out what part in a mesh determines how big the blob shadow is. For some odd reason the Hellfire Goon by Area34 has a big blob shadow. While I've learned to deal with only using blob shadows (because of the dumb skin partitions not working right), I don't want such a big shadow. Any way to change it?

FFv3r meshes have a "shadowbox" in addition to the "selection box" and "bounding box". Open the mesh in nifskope, show hidden parts in the view (dont unhide them) and resize it if its too big, maybe.

Strange.... I never messed with that stuff in the skope. Do the AIM guys have the same issues (they were the original mesh)?

Apparently, the shadow is large for the AIM mesh Renegade converted as well. Not a big deal I guess. I just wish there was a way to physique mesh pieces in Nifskope because the main problem I have with FFvTTR is mesh pieces that bob up and down.
