Title: Texas Jack max files
Post by: Blkcasanova247 on February 05, 2010, 04:51:23 PM
Hey there gang,
I was wondering if anyone has copies of Texas Jacks max files that he had up on his website many many moons ago. I'm particularly interested in his AIM agent...but I would like have them all. I lost the disc that I had em on. :( So thanks in advance. ;)

I have a few of his maxes.  Here is the list:

male flight test
pulp versatile
ripclaw 4.2

But, I would be interested in knowing what a max file does.  I've downloaded a few by mistake and didn't know what to do with them when I got them.

max files are used by 3ds max, the program most meshers use to create meshes for FF. In effect, it's the meshing equivalent of handing over a psd or a pspimage over a jpeg... sure both have the core data, but you'll have better luck editing a max as opposed to using the niftools importers.

Now I just need to learn how to mesh...
