Title: new to scoping - need some help
Post by: Xavier Kain on October 04, 2009, 10:55:11 PM
I am new to scoping and new to modding FFv3r in general - need some help there is a mesh i want to scope i have already removed unwanted parts on it but it has three versions each with their one skin and each have different part visible the mesh is Prodigy_skope by Podmark. Anyways there's a version with what look like cargo pants and bullet proof vest and theres a couple versions with power bracers now the thing is i cant figure out how to make the power bracers visible on the version with the cargo pants i tried right clicking on the bracers flags but the hidden box isn't checked.

make all parts visible, and alpha enable some parts, and bash the skins to be alpha'ed out based on what you want.

It's a skinning issue. All the parts on that skope are alpha enabled so that I can use alpha channel on the skins to have multiple costumes on the same mesh. You might be able to just delete the NiAlphaProperty but I have no idea if that might cause problems. The easiest way to fix is to just remove the alpha in your graphics program.

my first issue i solved now i would like to add parts from elsewhere for example the character design for the character i want to make calls for a bandanna around lower half of face now i have the vigilante mesh witch has a bandanna but i cant export that to 3ds onl to obj and when i add the obj bandanna to the mesh it crashes the character tool and the model wont show in game, hmm perhaps if i post a link to the character design pic i could get some tips on how to make it happen http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/6765/manicelectricnew.png (http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/6765/manicelectricnew.png)
