Title: Female body on Male Mesh
Post by: laughing paradox on September 02, 2009, 02:18:41 PM
I've been asked a few times on how to do those skopes, so I figured I'd start a thread so everyone can know how to do it.

It's very, VERY easy.

All you need is the Crymsin mesh by Lord Ehmsidy, with everything hexed off. Something about that female_basic body takes to male_basic meshes with no problem. Just copy the female_basic body from that mesh, add it to the male_basic mesh.. and you're done. (After hiding the male_basic body, of course)

However, it doesn't take to ALL male_basic meshes, as you will see very noticeable distortion during animation. However, I have noticed that it seems to work very well with meshes created by Grenadier and Renegade (so far!).

I need to make note that the wiremap for the Crymsin female_basic body is not like any other female_basic.. the body is the same, but the head is placed differently, much like the head for Vertex's female meshes.

I've already tested this out. This opens up a lot of fun stuff.

Good one Ewwzy. So I looked at it and I'm pretty sure the reason that it works is because it's based on the male_basic mesh.

Yeah, I just read that on the link that Ewzzy provided in the Request forum. I'm surprised this wasn't widely known before.. it opens so many venues for females with guns and other weapons, now.

Seeing as how about a dozen of Lord E's meshes aren't available on Yahoo Groups (including Crymsin) and Geocities is on it's way out. I've begun uploading them. You can now get them at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lordehmsidymeshes2/

Another option (but a little tricky to work with) is Wingzero's Aura Sing mesh.  This is another female body with male proportions...However, this one does not have heels and is mapped the same as female_versatile.  I hope this comes in handy for someone.

Respectfully,

Really? I'll have to look into that. I was working in Blender altering the Crymsin mesh to have a bunch of different body variations including: female_big_chest_heels, female_pants_shirt, female_pants, female_small_chest, female_small_chest_heels, female_no_mouth, female_no_face_pants

Not that you can really see which one is which based on my preview. The list above isn't even in the right order.

This is an amazing find guys. It adds a whole bunch of possibilities for female meshes. Thanks for sharing!

By the way, awesome job on the different body variations for Crymsin, Ewzzy!

I'm not sure with Wingzero's mesh though. No permission was ever given on skoping them. Not so sure about hexing.

The permission list says that Wingzero has given permission for skoping. At least I think it does...

Edit: Yep, it does.

So how is this working out?

Also, has anyone EVER made a base mesh for Crymsin?

It works well, you can pick the mesh up from my site (http://www.freedomforce.ewzzy.com/).
I'm afraid I don't understand your second question.

I kitbashed a base. It's included in the zip on my site. (I think.)
