The only thing I've done is install the mod tools, and I can't think of how it would do it, but now my computer doesn't want to play FFX. When I click the FFX icon it starts up basic FFv3R. The data is still there; if I tell FFEdit to use the FFX directory it shows me the installed effects and attributes, and, of course, I can see the stuff in the directories.
How do I fix this?
does the ffx shorcut point to right location? it should target something like this
"C:\[...]\Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe" -game ffx3 -log
try also regenerating the strings from string.txt in ffx3
The shortcut says the same thing that you posted. Is there supposed to be a "log" file someplace?
Whatever happened, the toos erased several things (CTool, NifViewer) and didn't replace them. I had to run it a second time. I COULD have "uninstalled" the tools, but I don't remember that being one of the choices. And why would it have messed with FFX?
It fixed itself. Which means that if it happens again, I will have no idea how to fix it.
