Nope. Ezfx 5.1 is ff1 only.

Well, you could painstakingly convert every fx and put them in the game yourself, but I doubt anyone would want to do that. :P

Long story short people tried, it did not work. Things need to be rebuilt, and people are rebuilding the ones they find necesary.

Converting to ff1 to ff2 is easy to do but very tedious work. I think the real problem is permissions for the FX's.

Both, I dont want to name names because the person who did this is one of my favorite posters but yeah, lots of people got mad and a lot of effects did not work right. While I'm ok with having my work redistruted I would be annoyed if it did not even work propertly.

Most things need to be re made from scratch.

The issue isn't converting or remaking fx, as most ff1 content works fine (except it doesn't affect the environment lighting wise, but most don't care), it's that .dats aren't compatible between games. Installing +/- 900 fx (and sounds) via ffedit is tedious enough, doing it again? Nah, tis a wrap.

Oh, i had to do it SO MANY TIMES. The secret is pacing yourself. I would do one letter every night. In one-three weeks you can get it done.

I did it over a period of weeks. No burn out, no pressure. I did it as I added other SFX.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the end nif the only thing that needs to be changed? I'm still a little shaky on what needs to be done to convert FF fx. Then again finding a suitable end nif is difficult.

Wait, are you guys saying the FF1 EZFX's can be converted for compatibility with FFvTR? And are you guys saying that some of you have already done so? Is there not a download for this or no one able to pass it around because it is against someone's rights? I'm so confused... I don't understand.

As was mentioned, the assets themselves are compatible (just like most FF meshes) but the dat format between games changed so you cant just merge dats, it requires going into FFEdit and manually by hand reentering all the FX info, sound effects etc... for all 500+. Its doable, but long and tedious and not very fun. Most people who have done conversions have just converted those FX they liked.

And there is the issue of permissions about converting and redistributing.
