The game doesn't have it out of the box, and I haven't tried it, but some folks (I recall that TaskMasterX was working on this) have developed a few approaches with varying success. Do a search (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?action=search;advanced) here and on the archive board for "flying melee" and you will get some hits.

yeah, this always annoyed the crap out of me. flyer vs flyer requires ranged attacks. yuck.... whatever happened to airborne slugfests that rage thoughout an entire cityscape? I've always loved those in comics.
