Nintendo & Sony dumped a load in there pants when they saw the potential of this device - Still it's up to Microsoft to to get a few fun & creative games for this but, if they can steal the Wii's thunder & maybe do a price drop of there own this holiday season then it might be that the console war dust has settled & Xbox 360 (even with all it's red ring of death nonsense) came out on top - My favorite parts of the video are the Winning Pose he does after the Godzilla looking demo & the scan feature

I totally want this, but I dont know why you seem to think its coming out this year.
Every single thing they showed from this was faked, it's not coming out for a long time, and when it does... meh. I don't have a 360 and I'm way too lazy. I often won't play the game that I want to because the disc isn't in.
The strange thing about this device is:
A lot of people who bought the 360 did so simply because they didn't want anything to do with what they viewed as "gimmicks" like this and/or wanted a more "core gamer" experience.
Also:
The one thing this DOESN'T do, which the Wii's controller does, is give the XBox the precise and (in my experience) very good FPS controls that comes with the Wiimote. This is all the stranger because the XBox is ALL ABOUT FPS's. It's practically THE console for FPS games, and yet it will still lack the enhanced controls for such games.
Otherwise, it looks pretty interesting. Except in the driving game examples I've seen, I don't see how it can possibly compare to actually having a peripheral. In games like Mario Kart for Wii, the difference in effectiveness between using the wiimote by itself and using the "wii wheel" attachment are huge, and that's just a piece of plastic that makes the controller circular. I can't see how holding your hands in the air for long periods of time without actually having anything in your hands would be fun or comfortable.
The thing that cracks me up is that it would be so easy to do any of this wii or NATAL stuff on PC with the better processing power and vast history of imput devices... I wonder what is taking them so long.
I'll just wait until this stuff actually comes out and works. I can't seem to get the videos to work even after installing whatever-the-crap "Silver Light" is. Not sure why Microsoft makes a console and PCs that are completely proprietary to the point that most gadgetry is incompatible (save the wired controllers). Oh, yeah, because you can make more money that way. Nah, like everything else that comes out, I'll wait to see what's worthwhile and what isn't.
I dunno, before E3 I was just sitting around wondering what the bottom of an Xbox 360 avatar's shoe looked like. Thanks to Natal, the dream is now a reality.

Ohhhh, so that's what it looks like.
When the 360 first came out they said that all the controllers and accessories will work with the PC and so far it's been true. I wonder how they are going to get this to work with the PC. And not to sound like a fanboy, but PC is the console for FPS, the 360 is second. :P
Go check out the lionshead demo, very cool.

No just saying this Holiday season if they can get people to think about purchasing an Xbox instead of a Wii because this thing is going to come out eventually & maybe make the Wii's nunchuck controller obsolete - Personally I like ussing a controller & i'm lazy - All that jumping off the couch to play a video game doesn't appeal to me - But I see potential for new gamming ideas in this device

Fair point. I bought an Xbox cause while I love the motion control aspects of the Wii, the games/graphics are just too kiddie and uninteresting. So I was blown away by the potential of Natal, and can see it swaying peoples purchasing choices.
And while SOME of the videos may be faked, Ive read reports of people playing exisiting games (specifically, burnout) with Natal, and they seemed to think it worked really well.
This kind of technology has been in the works since before Michael Douglas did Disclosure. Then it was said that the tech in the works would make the movie look low tech. Seems they still have a long way to go before that.
NATAL is cool for family fun stuff. Not really aimed at serious gaming.
I think it's all cool, but seriously who wants to "drive" a car while standing up lol, I hope we can sit and it still works because unless I have to kick, jump, run and stuff I don't want to be standing up in front of my TV.
Oh yeah and that Milo guy thing is kinda creepy, got Skynet written all over his innocent face...
As far as I have read, Natal is due in 2010.
Some games it would be fun for, but most, I'd rather just sit down and play with a controller. My standing/walking/balancing ain't too good so any of those kinda games simply wouldn't work for me.

Yeah, well, Duke Nukem Forever was "due" in 2003 or so, IIRC. And we all know how that turned out. :)
But this is Microsoft we're talking about here. And they've never hesitated in the past to rush out a product, regardless of whether it's fully tested or not.

Live action here
Why would anyone get excited over a game where you talk to a kid?
That has creepy written all over it
