I just went to Netflix to watch me some Dr. Who and forgot to switch over to an IE tab before hitting the view button. To my astonishment, it asked me to install Silverlight, then played, in Firefox, natively!
Mind you, I'm not sure what the feelings are about Silverlight, but it's way better than having to switch over to IE every time.
I had huge problems (as did many) with the silverlight install initially. I got horrible stuttering problems (more so in Firefox than IE), but after a few weeks, they seemed to have ironed it out. Granted my internet connection at home is bad enough that I cant stream during peak useage hours, so my streaming of movies is minimal, but getting cross browser support -- even if its silverlight is a good thing.
Cool, thanks for the update.
I'm stubbron in still using IE but when it comes to netflix I always use firefox... about a month ago I noticed that It behaves better than IE does.
BTW I can probably link up a good list of watch now movies that rock.
Wow, thank god. Using IE made me feel so nubbish.
