Title: 'generate language files' in FFEdit
Post by: tfunke on May 25, 2009, 01:04:25 PM
Hi, I am trying to add some new voicepacks to FF, and am running into a problem. I follow all the steps correctly in the readme.txt that came with the file, however when i click "Generate Language Files" in the 'Options tab' of FFEdit, the program just stops responding.
Is this a known issue?

Thanks for your help in advance, :)

There may not be anything wrong. FFEdit just takes a loooong time to generate language files. It can take several minutes and, during that time, FFEdit doesn't show a progress bar or anything. My advice is to just wait it out. You will know it's done when it's responsive again. As I recall, M25 has made a tool that does this much more quickly (http://ezscript.wikispaces.com/Mod+Tools).

Ok so i tried it again and left it awhile and it actually worked!!
Many thanks for the above advice.

Now my problem is simply trying to put the files into my FFX mod folder so i can use it when i boot up ffx3.3...any advice on this, is it easy?
