We want you!

Well...not you, but maybe you over there.  *Ahem* Anyway, I'm looking for a little help with the DCUG.  Nothing too serious or anything, and I don't imagine that anyone will accept the invitation.  Still I thought I would give it a try.  I have been working on it more or less steadily since the ugliness a while back, and I had some big plans that haven't entirely come to fruition.  Nevertheless, I am still working on my original ideas.  I intend to release it some time this summer...which is in no way a promise, just a hope, but I find that my reach seems to be exceeding my grasp once again.  I'm making good progress in adding a new campaign, but I keep hitting bugs that bog me down and really drain my motivation.  What I'd like is to have someone work with me who I could hand off problem missions to for troubleshooting.  I realize that isn't a very tempting offer, but if someone with EZScript experience wants to help the DCUG out, this is a great way.  Hopefully it wouldn't involve every mission (I've gotten my rate up to about one in three these days. :P), but having someone to take over on the ones that start annoying me would really help my productivity.  I could keep rolling writing missions, and know that this other one wasn't just gathering dust.  So...anyone interested?  You'd obviously have to be fairly familiar with EZScript, and willing and able to do a lot of testing.  You'd also have to have a hard drive big enough to hold the DCUG (new, reduced weight only around 2.5 gigs).

Dude, if you can deal with my whacked schedule over the next few weeks then I'm in.

You know what?  I was unexpectedly successful with my request for a little help, that I think I'm going to push my luck just a bit.  Something I've been wanting to do for a long while now is add music to my campaigns, but it's just another in a long, LONG list of stuff that I've dabbled with and put aside because there were more important things to do.  Would anyone be interested in being, let's say "music director" of the DCUG?  What that would entail, I suppose, would be brainstorming and tracking down appropriate songs for individual missions (or moments within missions?), and then handling their inclusion in the mod.  Any takers?  I imagine I've already struck gold once, so it isn't so likely to happen twice.   :D

I appreciate the enthusiasm FG, but when you write stream of consciousness that way, without any punctuations, it makes it really hard for me to read and comprehend your post.  I'm not a stickler for comma usage or anything like that, but periods and capitalization are pretty important just for readability, my friend. :)  As to the actual content of your post, I am not delaying the DCUG for the sake of music, as a matter of fact what I was saying was that, since I am spending all my time adding new missions and such, music will likely NOT be added unless someone wants to help me out with that.  I know it was a request I heard from several people during the DCUG's abortive launch a while back, and it is something that I'd like to see done...but at the same time, it is something that I likely won't have the time or energy to do by myself.
