A Lord of the Rings fanfilm, taking place before Gandalf goes to tell Frodo to leave the Shire and following Aragorn as he tracks down Gollum to find out what he knows and what he's told Mordor.
Surprisingly, it's very well done and is worth watching. I'd recommend it.
I thought it was well done. Good find.
But, I can sort of see why Tolkien didn't go into much detail on that part of the story. It's not very interesting compared to the rest of the epic saga.
True, but it's good material for a short fan film. Definitely would not want it to be any longer or as part of anything more major though, but fun in this context and good for what it is.
A great film. I have a hard time calling it a "fan" film due to it's obvious large budget. Even so it was a treat to watch.
You call $4,500 an obviously large budget? Because, seriously, that's all they spent.
Really? Kudos to them.
Yeah, that's pretty incredible. Obviously, they have some in-house talent donating some real time and skill to the project. Nevertheless, a relatively "low-budget" mainstream production could easily cost 1000 times as much and be lucky to turn out twice as good.
I would probably buy the DVD of this and add it to my LotR collection. Thanks for pointing this out to me, Cat.
