On an outer space adventure they were hit by cosmic rays!(JK) When Kyle Storm was gifted with a ring of the Green Lantern Corps., Dr. Ralph Richards annalized the ring upon its arrival. It came with a message stating that Oah was in grave danger. The two started making plans to take to the skies. When Kyle's sister Dinah over heard the plans, she insisted on tagging along. Not just for kicks, but because she had been studying a space storm for months. This would give her a chance to examine it more closely. All that was left was a pilot, but, Dr. Richards already had that covered by his best friend Al Grimm. When the four were half way to Oah, the storm flared and covered them all in cosmic rays! Ralph stretched to reach Dinah, who had gotten trapped in the air lock and was screaming at the top of her lungs. The scream echoed making the sound louder yet. Kyle ran to the second air lock(not knowing what was happening to the other two) and surrounded himself in an air tight aura of energy.He opened the air lock and aimed his ring at Al, who had been teathered out of the ship to retreive rock samples. Upon grabbing his specimine he became tangled in his teather and attempted to break free of it. Kyle once more aimed his ring out to his friend hoping to break the bonds, but as the  energy reached out to the helpless member, there was a cosmic flare, bursting one of the oxygen tanks by Kyle and engulfing him in a mixture of energy and flame. Al's teather finally broke, but the rocks adheared to his stretching skin! During this whole process the ship flew the rest of the way to Oah. It was caught in the planets gravity and sucked down to crash-land. The first to wake was Ralph Richards. He searched for his friends but, found noone. He came across a hill, and stretched to see over it. And he did, his torso was pulled like taffee. He realized this could be applied to all of his limbs as well. He found Kyle, engulfed still in energy, that rattled off of him in a flame like manner. Dinah was nowhere to be found, even though when the men called they heard her faintly. They called once more and she let out a wail that peirced the ears. And suddenly she is visible again. "Ofcourse!" Said Ralph."The echos scattered your molecules and  ampliphied your lungs. Not only can you scream like a canary, but turn yourself invisible. There must be some sort of catch. Turn invisible again." So she did. "Now use your Canary Cry." She inhailed and then "AAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" her image blared out. "Thats the catch. The louder you talk while invisible, the brighter your image becomes." Suddenly, Al Grimm ran over the hill asking if everyone was alright. Kyle stood up and said "Everyone except you pebbles!" Al was made of nothing but rock! He pounded up to Kyle and said "Yous wants to make something of it?!" His size trippled. He could become much much larger than his normal size. "Well," Kyle said. "This is just Fantastic."
