I should point out that the first photo is faked, part of an internet prank.  No such item has ever actually be manufactured.

The second one is, sadly, quite real.

Wow.  I would have guessed the first one was real and the second one was fake.  I would actually feel physical pain if I read that comic story.  Ouch!
