Alex will ultimately have to see this to tell you what's up, but it may be useful for him to post a little more info.

Does it happen with every HERO file you try to load, or just that one? Does the HERO file work in the game (e.g. in a normal Rumble Room match? If it does, since you are running FFX or and FFX-enabled mod, you should print your hero data to the console and post your script.og.

You can send the data to that file in two ways. The easiest is if the "SEND TO LOG" command is in the menu when you right-click on the currently selected character. Just choose than command and wait a second. (I am pretty sure we had it print something to the status text area, too, to let you know it was done.)

If that command isn't there, then open the game console (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=49868.msg680027#msg680027) and paste the following two lines to the console, one line at a time:

Code Select

import datfiles
for c in getAllHeroes(): datfiles.ShowHero(chardata.GetCharacterData(c))

Then post your script.log file (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=49868.msg680029#msg680029).

Thanks Stumpy for your reply but I solved the problem. I simply deleted and re-installed the offending hero file and it then opened with no problems.

Could some point me in the right direction please, I have installed version 3.3 but I am getting the following error message:

Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I uninstalled it downloaded it again and reinstalled it and I am still getting the same message.
