I know several of us here have facebook accounts as well as myspace accounts. I think there was a myspace group at one point.
Well, I am going to start an FR facebook group. Those of you who have facebook can join up to it.
the deed is done: http://www.facebook.com/groups/edit.php?officers&gid=55506893387#/group.php?gid=55506893387 (http://www.facebook.com/groups/edit.php?officers&gid=55506893387#/group.php?gid=55506893387)
myspace is teh devil! facebook, in contrast, could be considered a quasit....still evil, just not as bad. :P
bah, i use myspace mostly for networking and faceebook for a mix of friends and networking. I have gotten back in touch with more old high school friends on facebook than myspace. and facebook may actually help my graduating class actually getting around to planning a high school reunion. I can't complain that badly.
Joined.
While I'm not about to post my e-mail adress this is something I can get behind. Wait until I get home though, no facebook at work.
Joined! I was gonna suggest this. Great idea bro!!!
And I'm in.
hey all,
If you have any former FR people on your facebook or email lists, i'd invite them to the facebook group. I only have a handful of people on mine.
Zapow was made an admin since he is an admin here. I am one since I created the group apparently. Don't want to get too admin heavy with the facebook group though.
Also, the group is a good way to do a little non-FR networking outside of here.
This was the final nudge that tipped me into setting up a facebook account. Various friends have been trying to pressure me into it for a while now.
May be enough for me too. Been putting that and MySpace pages off forever. Looks like I may have to put in at least a token appearance.
*lets his inner luddite peek through* Bah!
I kind of felt the same way, Panther, but my sisters finely peer pressured me into it.
And I've been reconnected to people I hadn't seen or heard from in years. Some I'd even forgotten about. It's worth it, trust me. It's not lame like Myspace.
I'm in.

I guess it's lame in a completely different way. I think status updates have single-handedly made me despise people who I didn't before, including my mother.
I joined.
Im afraind I am goign to stay behind and join panther in his exclusive luddite club.
But you all can email me via pony express :)
As a precaution to the possible future of FF being defunct, I've also joined the group. Not wanting to use my real name, I put in Clause Nick Olaus. (KK Ho Hoho doesn't work. ;))
I'm on. FRIEND ME PPL PLZ LOL!!1!

It's lame on a whole 'nother level. But to each his own.
I personally despise Facebook. Its good for connecting to people you already know... but not so much if you want to connect with new people nor is it as good for networking. Plus those annoying applications and reporting everytime some one takes a dump...... ughhhh.

Still is... just hasn't been active for about a year and a half. I tried to get people here to join until I was blue in the face... for the most part... they didn't (sad to say I wasn't surprised ). Got more members who were not from FR than those who were. A few joined the community for awhile... but between FRs outages and my message board going down while I was in the hospital... they didn't stick.
Re- doing yo facebook account as I type here now. Thanks, Hammy.

True, but I don't want to do that anyway. It works for what I want it to do.
I'm in. Thanks for setting this up!
