Title: Watchmen stuff.
Post by: Tame Fisher on February 24, 2009, 07:39:13 AM
After recently getting back into FF, I decided to be a tool and try skinning 80s comic book heroes who coincidentally happen to be starring in an extremely-hyped feature film coming next month.

Doctor Manhattan was easy, and vxmale_muscled made him super-duper awesome. Nite Owl II has a palette swapped Owlman as a placeholder for now, and while not really accurate to either the movie or comic version, he's close enough at a distance. For Rorschach, I nifskoped male_hunter's weapons away and tossed some more brawler-y keyframes at it, and he's pretty okay. Working on a Minutemen-era Comedian (on the Blackjack mesh, not pictured), I realized Texas Jack's Punisher would make an awesome Crimebusters-era Blake, and wondered if anyone else had reached that conclusion and already made a skin. Heck, I'd like to see it on any mesh-- it's just an awesome costume design.

So my big question is basically this: with the exception of Doc Manhattan and that one O'Connor-based Rorschach, does anyone know of some snazzy Watchmen skins/meshes? I'm currently trying a Silk Spectre on vxfemale2_heels and the aforementioned Comedian, but I doubt mine will be of any respectable quality.

I made a thread about this awhile ago ... all the skins have been created except for:

* A fat Nite Owl

* Ozymandias

I still haven't finished Silohette or released Silken Specter I. I probably ought to do something about that.

I'm pretty sure that Johnny Patches did a Nite Owl too.

I still can't release Silk Specter I, although I could release Silhoette after I touch up those unsightly wrinkles...

I am trying to find the Captain Metropolis mesh and MJB's Hooded Justice skin. As far as I can tell, they are not posted anywhere, but if anyone has copies, could you send them to me at: devilance34@yahoo.com   ? Also, was daglob's Silk Spectre I ever released? I can't seem to find it either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm was certain that DaGlob released Silk Spectre.. but I think I'm confusing that with Tommyboy's Silk Spectre.
