Title: Character Tool problem
Post by: livewyre1014 on February 24, 2009, 12:34:27 AM
Hi gang...quick question.  I lost my FF and FFv3R game discs, so even though I've gotten back into skinning, I am only using the FF character tool to do it.  Anyway, some meshes that I am loading into character tool are loading up with the body disconnected, and arm out to the side, different parts not connected and animating correctly.  Is there a fix to this?  I can post a picture of what I am talking about if it would help...

Which "game" are you having problems with?

Again, I don't have either game.  I am only using the first game's character tool to view the meshes that I am skinning.  Is that the problem?

Hence the quotes. Haha. It might be--I don't know if the first character tool can handle the second's meshes, converted or not. Perhaps you should grab CTool2 and see if that helps.

I tried, but I couldn't get the mod tools for  :ffvstr: to work without the game...oh well, I'll manage with the meshes that do work.

I had this issue before with the original character tool. Downloading and installing it again fixed it for me.

I have the same issue with the FF Character Tool, no idea what causes it. What I ended up doing was just using NifSkope to view meshes when I'm skinning.
