Incredible new site Prev!
outstanding layout and design.
I've already downloaded everything from it!!
But.... i cannot download the X-Pack fx (media fire says its an incomplete file or something, and the full install of ultimate trio is weird too. not dl'ing properly
Thanks Again!
Good update, thanks.
Lots to download..
That's a ton of great stuff...
Thanks to everyone involved.
amazing stuff all...
Thanks to all, amazing stuff!

That's odd, as I just tried it and it worked (it's been working all year actually considering when I first released it :P). Mediafire may be having server issues.
Right on! Got it Prev, thanks again.
Coming soon:
X-mod by Jands:
Though it was unfinished and only 4 missions (though I remember a mission 5 and 6 add-on which I don't seem to have), this mod will soon be on FRP for you ff1 aficionados to grab! This mod comes packed with quite a few X-men and even includes voices for those that never got a chance to test it out.
Spoiler
(http://frp.unlimited2.net/mods/FFjands/Pics/xmod8.JPG)
Aliens vs. Predators by Jands:
Another short and unfinished mod that might light your fancy. I don't recall this mod ever getting a wide release, but I might be wrong. If you want to enjoy two missions of Alien fun, then this should be something to pick up when it finds its way onto FRP.
Spoiler
(http://frp.unlimited2.net/mods/FFjands/Pics/AVP.JPG)
Expect it and some other stuff sometime soonish.
Awesome stuff Prev! I'm glad to see the site finally going public, and those two new mods look really cool!
I remeber playing that xmen Mod! Would there be a way to convert it into a ffvttr format. My ff doesn't work anymore and i cant afford another copy right now. I loved this mod soooo much. Can't wait for this to come out.

Short answer: No. But the good news is, FF1 is like under 5 dollars if you can find it around or online. So, if you ever get up enough moolah, it shouldn't break your bank.

Something else that's coming to the FRP circle courtesy of Lude/Jands/Arlecchino
HERO CITY:
Spoiler
(http://frp.unlimited2.net/mods/FFjands/Pics/hero.JPG)
This custom hero mod was quite big back when it was released and, imho, it still holds up today. You take a street level hero (5k in initial value, but you can "train" the hero and even replace him/her when you have the prestige) and go through a total of 9 missions to help save a bunch of cities from chaos. The mod was pretty diverse, as far as missions and objectives go, and each individual mission could take quite a while to fully complete. Not to mention that the coding was pretty great and effective. Unfortunately, this mod was not completed, but there's more than enough to keep you busy. If you do happen to download this mod, be prepared to do a bit of thinking in some missions and it's not something I'd classify as...easy...to finish.

Yeah, thought such. No matter. I love all of the skins and meshes, if i ever get enough hard drive space i will definately get a new copy of FF. Can't wait to see more.
I'm glad to see Hero City available again, it was one of my favorites. It's sad they never finished it though.
We could always use more FX and maps for :ffvstr:! Thanks for all this great stuff, guys!
Another week, another update. This update includes the following:
1. 4 old school ff1 mods
-These mods are Spider-man and the Marvel Knights, Hero City, X-mod, and AvP
2. 4 old fx that weren't publicly available
3. Another simple coding tip.
Nothing particularly big, but...yeah.
Always glad to see a new update Prev! I think you're actually over pricing FF1 there, ha. It is SUPER cheap, and if you don't own it, you should.
mmmk, let's play catchup. Now, on FRP2:
1. Several new Highlight posts, one of which was written by Benton Grey on the subject of Aquadork...I mean Aquaman.
2. Mission 5 and 6 of Jands' X-mod for FF1
3. Three old fx by myself that were previously unavailable: Meteor, Lightning strike, and Water spray
4. Coding tips 3 and 4
Yeah, nothing heavy, but there's some good stuff coming...on the horizon. BTW, The aquaman post= long read. Benton and his essays. :P
Just for the record, Prev. asked me for, and I quote, an "essay." :D
Dude, Benton... this aquaman thing... we gotta talk man.
I think there might be a 12 step program or something we can get you in.
Aquaholism is a disease...
Dana
You two...read it....every word of it.
Aquaman wouldn't read it... he'd just telepathically tell one of his fish to do it... :D
Silly goggles...Aquaman and his fish friends can't read! They're underwater and stuff. Besides, Aquaman would be too busy trying to save the world...too bad he can't do anything about any trouble that happens on land...*insert Family Guy sequence here...*
*Hides behind his essay*

Aquaman cant read? That's kinda sad.
He should catch a class at the learning Annex or something.
tsk, tsk, tsk...He breathes dirty fish-poo water and is illiterate...Sad. I'll read yer stinkin' essay, Benny.
Dana :P
Like I always tell Prev....y'all just wish you were so awesome. ^_^
Nice to see more FX still being added.
As for Aquaman, I was also a fan long long ago. :P
Okay Benton...Buddy...I had begun to read the essay (or novella as some may call it :P), but I'll have to go back later to finish it...Sigh, this may take me a week or so (time I could be spending making maps...LOL).
Dana ;)
So, now Aquaman is keeping Dana from making maps. Your essay may have done more harm than good to your cause, Benton.

Haha, I had the same thought when he said that. I was like, "uh-oh, now I'm gonna' get tarred and feathered!"
Blame Prev. for the length. It's all his fault! He told me to write an essay, and then gave me questions that could not be answered in a sentence or two. :D
Y'all will have to let me know what you think when you read it...and you'd probably better use the comments option on the blog, or Prev. will have a heart attack. ;)

Benton, I didn't force you to write an essay, we both knew you WOULD write an essay. You go into these long speeches every time Aquadunce is brought up and we all know this. Also, I think people are avoiding commenting because what can you say about Arthur that hasn't already been said? He's like...the chicken of the sea...a joke. SNAP. :P
*Kills Prev*
LOL...You guys kill me...Gak! (falls dead)
New maps very soon...
Yay!
Going to try to get this in before I get another server crash error.
This week on FRP2
- CmdrKoenig releases 5 new maps
- Conduit sneaks in and gives us 2 more new maps
- Al_kemyst re-releases his B**** Brigade mod for FF1
- New Coding Tip--though technically old
- First spotlight post...on AA!
Big update...so expect next week to be smaller...if anything is updated at all. :P Also, thanks to AA for agreeing to be the first person under the spotlight.
Nice...
The bigger question is, whose soul did you end up feasting on?

Benton's.
Yay! Desert maps!
Just what I needed.
Great stuff guys! i should get around to installing those maps soon!
also, cool Spotlight on...AA Prev.
I never knew about his deviantArt stuff till now.
Wow, great stuff. I never really thought how much those maps add to the replayability of the game until recently (I know, I'm an idiot...), and I can't thank Dana and Conduit enough for their fantastic contributions.
The Brigade mod! Somehow I never got the chance to play it. I'll definitely check it out.
And the Spotlight On is a great idea. Interesting stuff from AA. I wonder who's next, and hopefully it will go beyond skinners - Meshers, skopers, FX creators, mappers... they all deserve some love.
Hey, no problem, SH.
I'm digging the map-making right now. Near the beginning of last year, I was sort of burnt out and didn't think I could make any more maps for :ffvstr:...
I don't know how many more :ffvstr: maps I have in me, but I have at least 10 more that I'm working on. I hope Conduit has a few more on the cooker too (although I can't play or make :ff: maps, though.. :( )
Dana
Quote from: http://frp.unlimited2.netDue to some minor issues, FRP2 will not be getting any updates outside of the Spotlight on UE (which was scheduled for next week). Hopefully, sometime next week, FRP will be getting some new maps, some fx, and perhaps some coding tips to make up for the missed update...on the horizon

Thanky. The idea was more of a spin-off from something Hitman and I discussed sometime ago in the shack of chat. The original plan fell through, but this does just as well. As for who else may or may not get spotlighted, there's a list and it's not exclusive to just skinners or even currently active members. UE wasn't scheduled for this week, it just happened to work out that way. :P
Also, many thanks to those who have participated in the spotlights thus far. Now, if only I could get more of you to do "Highlight on..." posts. And no, they don't all need to be Benton length. :p
The "spotlight on" is cool. I am glad you are doing that.
Nothing major, but hopefully a bigger update will come sometime this or next week (-_-), but the spotlight that should have went up last Friday is now up. Go and enjoy the Spotlight on...The Beyonder!
Excellent Spotlight guys. Good job.
This week on FRP2:
- 7 new maps by CmdrKoenig
- 2 old fx for ffvttr that were unavailable for some time
- 2 spotlights: Beyonder and UE for those that missed it
- Coding Tip #6
Hope you enjoy the new toys.
Since Syn made his announcement about his baby girl, why don't you go read his spotlight (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-syn/)? Sure, it came quite a few days earlier than expected, but um...surprise?
i really enjoy reading the spotlights.great job guys.
Love these spotlights, and I got a plug.... :D
A day early since I won't have time to update anything tomorrow. :P
This week on FRP2:
- Spotlight on Syn
- Spotlight on Dr. Mike
- Coding Tip #7
No new playable content this week, but if you want a good read or are trying to learn some python tips, there ya go. At this point, however, the first "season", or my hiatus point, of the spotlights is almost done. That's right, only three more are left to go before I take a break from it. As I said before, I would like to thank everyone that participated as you guys provided quite a few good reads, though some of you hurt my brain while attempting to think up good questions. ;). It looks like the feature was quite popular, but I would love to get some type of feedback on whether I should keep it going, what I should add/change/delete, whom I should sacrifice to get Goggles singing lessons, and all that jazz. So, yeah...that's the update this week. ^^
La la laa laaa laaaaaaa laaaa laaa la laaaaa
(clears throat)
Nice.
Great job on these spotlights, man! Here's hoping you keep going with them.
Hey gang!
This week on FRP2:
- FRP's first hosted EZscript mod by FR member Torch: West Coast Avengers!
- Two old school FFVTTR fx that were no longer available.
- Spotlight on Tomato--only 2 left to go
Cool cool awesome cool!
This week on FRP2:
- 4 meshes by Syn (probably the last of my stack unless someone remembers something else)
- Spotlight on: Crazy...or Spotlight On: Murs
- Coding Tip #8
And with this post, only one spotlight remains before the hiatus! Who will it be you ask? Someone. Also, as of this post, I've run out of stocked coding tips, so those may cease as well unless I randomly get inspired to actually reinstall python. So, what I guess I'm saying is, the site might slowdown in releases...or will it? Who knows, I do have a habit of pulling things out almost every week. :P
I know a few of you were clamoring for it, but the FR Avatar Mod is now on FRP2. Now, go get it and leave your souls in the jar on the right. Thanks. ^^
Meh, now I have to actually accept requests again. CURSE YOU PREM!
Holy moley. I ought to check this more often. Lookit all dem FX. And all of Syn's meshes.
Okay, I give. I will start looking at the new FRP all the time. I hope you are all satisfied with yourselves.

Indeed we are. Welcome to the cult!
This week on FRP2:
- Spotlight on CmdrKoenig
- FR Avatar Mod
I officially hit hiatus with this post. I hit it so hard that I didn't even bother to gather anything for this week such as fx, a coding tip, or a Highlight On: [...]. Also, AA is out blogging me/us and I'm busy or something. ^^

Speaking of, update today. Nothing particularly FR/FF related, but if anyone is interested in basically making simplistic 3d, lego-esque movies online for free, you might want to just check out the latest blog entry. *hint, hint*

That is single handedly the most stupid, awsome, pointless, silly, neat, retarded, crazy thing Ive seen on the internet in the last hour. It would be way cooler if it worked for me (Stupid Http Errors).. .but still. Wacky. And thanks for mentioning me in the update post about the batmobile. This week on FRP:
...
Ok, I kid. This week on FRP:
- Single old school fx: Snowflake beam
- Coding Tip Number 9
So basically nothing. If all goes well, the next fx pack will be up soon and maybe...MAYBE...a new "highlight on" post so you people don't have to keep staring at that Aquaman post by Benton. And, I'm just going to throw this out there, but if anyone wants to highlight a character, writer, artist, storyline, team, or what have you...FRP2 would be glad to host it. As long as it makes sense and isn't offensive...that's the main thing. Also, if any of your coders (all 2 of you) wants to give out tips for python coding or EZScript coding, we welcome them with open arms. :P
Late entry...Koenig released five new maps for you guys to play on.
Maps:
- Underwater_X3
- Western Town
- Castle Dracula
This week on FRP2:
Round 2 of Spotlights have begun, and up first is...Death Jester. Go check it out.
Nice. Good show, Premmy!
I've been enjoying these spotlights a lot Prev! Thanks for doing them. :)
It's a bit late, but the Spotlight On: Wickerman is now online. If you want to know what Dana's map output can do to a coder, you might wanna give it a browse! Also, hopefully some new content will be available soon*.
*Remember, kids, "soon" is relative! ^^
What are you doing reading this? It's time for you guys to go to FRP and enjoy the Spotlight On: Tommyboy. Go. Go do that now.
Great work, Premv!
When's my spotlight?! I can talk about waffles!
Whoo-Hooo! Tommyboy spotlight! Thanks Prev!
Dana
Nice interview there Prev. ;) I wonder who's next on your list? ^_^
Hey had a question about installing maps(cmdrkoenig67 's). Not sure if this is the right spot to ask this.
What do I do if I don't have the missions folder or the area_specific folder in my :ffvstr:directory? Will creating my own folders do the trick? If so,will they show up when I use FFX?
Thanks in advance.
Firstly, minor update today. I
finally got around to highlighting Okami (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/). Go read it if you're interested in a fairly cheap game for the PS2 and Wii.
Secondly:

It's ok that you asked here, but for future reference, it'd probably be best to ask in one of Dana's threads. No worries though. Anyway, you can manually create those folders if you don't already have them. If you want the maps to show up in FFX, you'll need to install them in the FFX version of those folders (I.E., ffx3\Missions and ffx3\Art\library\area_specific).
The spotlight on JKCarrier is up! Go and read. And hopefully, I'll find some time today to update some other parts of the site.
Up now is a new skin by Chuckles (Ultimate Scarlet Witch) and my 60 fx Marvel pack. Go get (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/) it while it's hot. Or don't, whichever.
If any of you care, the spotlight will most likely be late this week... and next... *shrugs*

Wow... don't we feel loved?

Someone thinks murs is the best? That's crazy talk. We all know that title belongs to Vl... *laughs histerically* sorry, couldn't even get through that.
You're gonna keep talking about this Vlad guy and I'm gonna have to request some skins he did just to see how they look.

Who, Voldemort?
Yes. Yellow Lantern felt the sudden need to burst in warning us to beware a fictional dark wizard that got his butt kicked by an 11 year old kid who grew up in a cupboard.
*smacks daglob* now, seriously, remove the name. Freak googles himself or something.

Check out Spectre Lad's blog. There's a post he made early on saying how he admired Vlad's tenacity. It's got some pictures.
Do I continue the divergent topic just to annoy the thread's creator or do I play nice and go back the the real topic, some site update no one cares about. Decisions Decisions...

You know, sometimes birds like to drop by the FRP window sill and spread gossip. However, I found it odd when this post (http://frp.unlimited2.net/rumor-has-it/) appeared on the blog warning of things to come. Whatever could it mean, gang? Whatever. Could. It. Mean?!

Not much of an update, but a new blog post (http://frp.unlimited2.net/pctales-episode-2-preview/) went up for those interested in Patriot City Tales (http://frp.unlimited2.net/downloads/mods/) + some teases about what is coming up over the next few updates if everything goes according to plan.
Semi Big update this week for FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog). Let's go down a list, yeah?
1. Murs47 does a Highlight on Deadpool (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-deadpool/). You'd think he'd have more to say, but he surprisingly doesn't.
2. Spotlight on Podmark (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-podmark/). I saved the Canadian for last because I still have a grudge against him from Prevsational and we're in a war... or something.
3. Mini spotlights (http://frp.unlimited2.net/what-more-can-we-say/) on other sites in the community. Consider it a shout out to those jerks known as The Champions of Freedom, the oldbies with a facelift -- NPI, Murs's UDCU, that Ewzzy guy, and a couple of blogs.
4. On the Horizon... more maps? No way, no way.
And all those posts SHOULD go up periodically over the next 30 minutes. And now... I is off! You all should go read and/or comment. Do so. Now. ^_^

Silly Previsionary, I won that war a long time ago. Like yesterday or something. Or maybe that was Batman I won - meh they're like the same thing right.
Man I just rambled on in that thing.
CmdrKoenig has released three new maps this week. Arcade's Murderworld, Derelict Asylum, and The Crypt. Go and download those today!
Also, we have noticed that a few sites have revamped, and we have something to say. *ahem*

Hey Prev, exciting new update (sorry haven't answered your email)
although i did just install FFVTTr at my work computer (mid terms coming up, a lot of office time)

Hey Prev, exciting new update (sorry haven't answered your email)
although i did just install FFVTTr at my work computer (mid terms coming up, a lot of office time)
However, some of the mod links are down. I really want to get PCTales, but well...no go.
thanks for looking into it.
Hmm, seems one of the plugins updated and altered some links. No worries, it's fixed now. Just make sure you clear your cache just in case. Thanks for letting me know!
Cool, Thanks Prev, I'm really enjoying PCTales so far. The Dragnet mission is a blast. Just what I imagine a Freedom Force game should be.
hmmn, I'll only play mods on my school computer... other wise i'll have to start dl'ing all of the other tools too (nifskope etc.) Thats a slippery slope when i should be *ahem* writing lesson plans.
Glad you enjoyed the Dragnet mission, DM. It was an absolute blast to write. :D
Stoked about those new maps! I'm always a fan of Dana's stuff!
Thank you, LP.
Dana
Wow, has it really been almost a month since our last update? Guess I better do something about that...
This week on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/):
- John Jr. releases his very first EZScript mod: Legion of Superheroes! Go give it a download and show some love, k?
- Murs gets his own corner in the house of FRP2. Read his first post here (http://frp.unlimited2.net/greetings-from-murs47/).
- I shine some light on some upcoming projects including PCTales and maybe a new(ish?) fx pack... maybe
Sure, it's not an uber huge update like Heroforce, but it'll get you by, won't it? As a sidenote, maybe some [non-canadian] writer-wannabe should get off his keister and get back to spotlighting? So if that were to happen, and no one is saying it will, who would you guys want to see spotlighted? Said writer already has a list, but tis a community and said writer would love to get some input. PMs would be appreciated in that area if you've someone in mind. Make it happen, folks. ^_^

Ladies... ladies. Don't fight! Not unless a camera is around, and I'm getting paid for it. ^_^.
This week on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/):
1. Spotlights round 3 has begun and USAgent is our first target.
2. PCTales episode 2 is up. Go check that out.
3. Random updates blog post.
and that's about it, I suppose. If you guys still want to suggest potential spotlight candidates, pm me. And, ummmm... over the next few weeks, hopefully, some new stuff will pop up a little more frequently. I say that now, but... you know... stuff.
That interview should have come with a picture of the Halloween costume.
Need to finish PCT1 so I can get on PCT2!

Um, Ya might wanna check out the halloween pic thread in "general discusion"....but then again ya might not
This week on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/) is a relatively small update.
1. We took our spotlight and shined it on my good (online) buddy, Detourne_Me, to see if he's up to any shenanigans.
2. We pimp out BinaryPictureShow's JLA/Avenger prelude video for those that haven't seen it.
3. Wolverine: Weapon X by Jason Aaron is also promoted a bit because the Prevo loves it like he loves chocolate cake and milkshakes. Well, maybe not AS much.
Don't those things sound like fun to you? Go check it out, yeah? ^_^. Until next time. *waves*
Nice spotlight on DM, prev.
great update mate. i love that video. amazes me how it's done
That Binary Picture show was rather cool. I didn't know that could be done with skins, and the writer and performers seemed to have a good bead on the characters they were trying to portray.
WOW! Loved that spotlight on my BIG BRo De-Me. He's one of the best!!!
Thanks Prev, and everyone for reading the spotlight!
Gotta play PCTales tonight!
This week on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/blog/):
1. We're no longer on hiatus... for now. We'll be back on it next week. :P
2. Spotlight on that cool, Hawaiian shirt wearing dude (http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/brands/0013/6940/brand.gif). No, not him! HITMAN (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-hitman/)!
3. Chuck releases a skin/skope he did quite some time ago of The Vanisher before his return in X-force. That's right... the black, basic bodysuit.
4. Murs gives us his second entry in "Murs' Corner" revolving around Marvel's Dark Reign.
You guys should check the blog more often. Who knows what surprises are in store.
Ugh, after a few days of difficulty and hard work, FRP2 is proud to present:
X-men: No Lost Cause (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-first-mod-of-the-year/).
Consider it a late X-mas, right-on-time New Year's gift (Speaking of... what happened to Secret Santa this year?). And to think, it'll be frp2's first anniversary not too soon. Look at us, we're growing up.
Quad post! This time on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/):
- Out with the Old and in with the New... look, that is.
- Spotlight on Laughing Paradox
- Look into the past... "Freedom Force Rocks!"
Enjoy and make sure to let us know your thoughts, aye?
Nice new look Prev. And another great "Spotlight"...I really like getting to see folks bein' "real". Who do you have next?

Thanks, Casanova. Next spotlight was sent out some time ago, but he's been a little too busy to respond, so I suppose I'll continue going down the list of requested spotlights people have sent me and hoping they'll say "yay" instead of "nay." :P
Wooo, a lot of blog posts went up over the past few weeks, and instead of announcing every time I write a new post, I'll tell you about them here. These past few weeks on FRP2:
1. I decided to point out some trends I've developed in my holiday mods. [click (http://frp.unlimited2.net/a-modders-trends/)]
2. Retrospective: The Road to Crisis. [click (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-road-to-crisis/)]

And that's it. Enjoy the reads.
The beginning of February and FRP2 starts off strong. With what, you ask? Check it.
- I allow you to Meet The Evengers (http://frp.unlimited2.net/meet-the-evengers/)
- John Jr. completes his Legion of Superheroes mod (http://frp.unlimited2.net/legion-of-superheroes-round-2/)
- You get a One out of Five (http://frp.unlimited2.net/one-out-of-five/)
- Cmdrkoenig shows off his skopes (http://frp.unlimited2.net/skope-for-your-life/)
What are you waiting for? Go read and download! Hmm, and maybe one day I'll find the time to put up the next Spotlight and some other stuffage we at FRP2 have kept under wraps. Maybe.
I'm looking forward to the Legion Mod.
The Evengers are pretty cool. Nice job.
There's also now a newer Skoped Mesh blog post from me...

Will February be a busy month for us? This just in:
- Spotlight On: Valandar! (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-valandar/)

An aside, Valandar is our 20th spotlight. I didn't actually imagine we'd keep that feature running this long. ^_^

Damn Commander....Those look amazing. I have to say, you really get to the stuff that seems to slip under the radar too much. That Chewie looks great, and the Greedo and whatisname are cool as hell.
I have a bit of a problem with 3P0, though. He looks ripped! He doesnt look like the prissy little fussbudget he does in the movies. He looks like he's ready to kick arse and take names. Though to be honest, I have no idea how to use an accurate version of C-3P0 in :ff:. This one at least looks like he can take care of himself pretty well.
great skopes, Dana! Specially Chewbacca.
Congrats!
LOL...Thanks Scorp...I used the slimmest Tommy mesh I could too, but yes...He still looks kind of ripped..Ha! I don't really know if folks can use a Greedo Skope or a Ponda Baba/Walrus Man...But I though Star Wars would be a fun project...Boy, was I wrong...It's hard work, LOL!

Even through my sickness, I managed to schedule an update for today. Tis small, but hopefully you all enjoy it. If you don't... I'll send Benton to your home with his aquaman dissertation, which he'll gladly read to you. Evil, right?
This week:
- Spotlight On: Style (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-style/)
- Arcade Skope by Deaths Jester (http://frp.unlimited2.net/deaths-jesters-arcade-skope/)
Enjoy!
Good stuff Prev, thanks!
February continues to be a spotlight heavy month for us as FRP2 decides to shine its light on one of FR's master coders, Stumpy, to see what might be in the future for FFX. Go read!
- Spotlight On: Stumpy (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-stumpy/)
Many thanks to Stumpy for participating. ^_^
2 great spotlights Prev! Thanks.
Yes thanks for the call Prev and I must say this another person who inspires me is De_Me he is tha Truth absolutely did not want to leave him out!
Woah, thanks Style! I gotta say Prev, it's great that you're doing these spotlights. It's really cool to see how people have contributed to FF over the years and to get more of an inside scoop about the people behind the brightly-colored spandex-clad avatars.
No worries, Style. Thanks for participating. In other news, expect a most amusing spotlight this Friday. In the meantime, join in on a little experiment, if you can:
FRP tests Google Wave Embedding (http://frp.unlimited2.net/test-g-wave-embed/)
Ahh, happy Friday, everyone! As of right now, you can go check out a brand new spotlight!
- Spotlight on: MikeB7 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-mikeb7/)
Every once in a while, we need to retrospect on what helped to build us into the little bit of awesomeness that we are. FRP2 decided to do that today. Take a listen, why don't you? And expect more big things throughout the week.
More updates:
- Several new skopes (http://frp.unlimited2.net/skopes/) by CmdrKoenig find their way to the skopes page
- Crisis 1.1 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/mods/) finally reaches fruition
- PFX 1.2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/frp-presents-pfx-1-2/) helps to fill a void left open by EZFX
- Happy [upcoming] Anniversary, FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/happy-anniversary-frp/)!
- Chuck returns with 3 new original skins! (http://frp.unlimited2.net/chuck-returns-3-new-skins-follow/)
Outstanding job on those Star Wars skopes, CmdrKoenig! Thanks for these!
If you were wondering why we had so many updates over the past few days, then you obviously don't know that FRP went public on February 15th and this is our way of celebrating... by giving you more toys to play with. A lot of hard work went into this update, and I really appreciate Cmdrkoenig, MikeB7, Chuckles, Benton, John Jr, Goggles (shirley), Ultimate Evil, and even Murs (really?) for contributing in the planning and/or the actual execution. Of course, not everything went to plan, but I'm pleased with the outcome. And yeah, we do STILL have more in store, so keep an eye out on that. Going into our second year with the new site, we just hope we can keep the updates pouring out as we did in year 1. Is it a long shot? Eh, we'll see. Meanwhile:
- Meet the Evengers: Chapter 1 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-evengers-chapter-1/)
Thanks for putting so much into FRP, Prev. You've made it a great site and a great FF resource! :D Also, PFX is just too awesome!
What an update! I'm not a fan of Star Wars, but those skopes by Dana are truly great.
Congrats on the anniversary!
My, my... I promise, guys, these updates will calm down soon. In comparison, March will be a nearly dead month for us, I bet! :P. We've a few more things coming up, but as of today:
- The Road of Decadence (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-road-of-decadence/)
- Highlight On: Psylocke (miniseries) (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-psylocke/)
- Ghosting/Repeating mesh tutorial (http://frp.unlimited2.net/ghosting-mesh-tutorial)
- Spotlight on: Zapow (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-zapow/)
OK, "
The Road of Decadence" is a double perspective piece I did as a challenge from UE. If you'd be so inclined, please check it out and leave some type of feedback on either the story or UE's photo(s).
Highlight On: Psylocke is a short comic review on a mini-series that just completed recently.
The Ghosting Mesh Tutorial is a write up on how to use python win to fix your FF1 meshes as a response to so many people asking about it. Finally, spotlight on the
Honor Brigade writer and fellow FR member,
Zapow! Go and read, y'all!
Evenger chapter 2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-evengers-chapter-2/) is up. Go read... if you dare.

No. It's more akin to continue to listening to music on my record player (the thing old farts like me use to play our LPs and 45s on) even after music started coming out on cassette tape. When music is released on LP or LP and cassette, I still get the music and listen to it. But if it comes out on tape, I'm out of luck.
And then, when 90% of the recording houses stopped making record albums, I stopped listening to the radio, so I didn't know what I was missing.
But my existing records still play. And making my own has become easier. But...
(Keep in mind in this comparison that copying a record to tape is easy, where making an analogue record disc of a cassette tape is difficult).
I know longer have any records. I have a lot of rare stuff on cassette in my dad's basement. I wonder if it is possible to record in a digital format.
Let's let this thread get back on topic, please.
I didn't intend for a threadjacking, and I apologise for it starting to occur.

New Highlight (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-strikeforce-morituri/) by Gogglespizanno! Go show some love and check it out.
Thanks to Goggles for contributing. If anyone else wants to highlight their favorite characters, teams, creative forces, etc., give me/us a ring.
Double Post:
I got in touch with Akyron yesterday and he's graciously allowing FRP2 to re-host his Morituri skins. Unfortunately, I could only collect 9 of the 11 he made, but it's better than nothing, right? I packed all the skins into a single zip, and it also comes with some herofiles (FF1) for your convenience. Enjoy!
Prev, it's cool (awesome, even) that you'd release a patch for your Crisis mod. However, you didn't address the issue about most character templates missing a value in weight. They all still weight 0 lbs. If you could fix that, that'd be great.
Yes, I'm aware that I skipped that because I didn't want to go through FFedit inputting numbers. After you've messed with ffedit putting together an fx pack, you just really don't want to dabble around with that tool much at all. I now see why Alex stopped updating his pack. :P
Double post!
This week on FRP2 is a particularly big one:
- PCTales Episode 3 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/pctales-episode-3/) is released, bringing the mod to 15 missions. Is it now the longest FFv3R mod released? Yes.
- 3 old school, FF1 mods (http://frp.unlimited2.net/freedom-force-depot/) find a home. Those mods are Marvel Super Action (Furie), Psiworld (Jseturtle), and Blade/Defenders (FFJands)
- John Jr. releases his World's Finest Mod (http://frp.unlimited2.net/worlds-finest/)
- The Morituri skin zip (http://frp.unlimited2.net/morituri-skins-updated/) has been updated to include all 11 skins. Thanks to Bloodshadow and President Raygun
Enjoy all the moddage.
Chuckles makes a contribution to the Highlight pile by writing a feature on The Micronauts (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-the-micronauts/). Go, read, comment, enjoy.
Today on FRP2:
- Ultimate Trio #2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/ultimate-trio-issue-2) script - 20+ pages of fun!
- Cmdrkoenig releases his Creature skope (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-creature-ff1-skope/) for FF1.

RECAP
Previously:
Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, is a bit in the dumps after the events of Civil War put his family through the wringer. When The Thing suggests he take some time out for himself, Johnny reluctantly accepts the offer and heads into the city. Of course, no hero can get the day off when they really deserve it. Not even Iceman, aka Bobby Drake, who finds himself teaming up with his old Fan4 buddy to battle off rampaging robots.
Meanwhile, Spider-man, aka Peter Parker, is out patrolling and protecting the city from crime. Well, that was the original plan. When whack job for hire, aka Deadpool, runs by chasing mechanical dinosaurs, Spidey decides to help out. Unfortunately, both "heroes" bite off more than they can chew, which results in Spidey being captured and Deadpool being knocked around the city. And the perpetrator behind this whole plot... Mindy, aka Console, a mysterious little girl who seems to have a lot up her eerie sleeves.

1) Int. Murderworld - monitor room
Big panel. Open to a small, pale girl (MINDY) with 2 red pigtails dangling from the sides of her head. In front of her is her boss, her inspiration, ARCADE, hidden in his chair watching a monitor showing LIVE FEEDS of his captives. MISS LOCKE is behind Arcade looking over his shoulder and MR. CHAMBERS if off to the side, keeping to himself.
MINDY
WE?VE CONTAINED THEM ALL, SIR. EV?RYTHING?S GOING TO PLAN... >TEE-HEE<
ARCADE
AND WHAT OF THAT BLITHERING FOOL OF SCAR TISSUE?
MINDY
A GOOD PUNCH TO THE HEAD SENT THAT BUFFOON FLYIN? LIKE A BALLOON OV?R WATER!
ARCADE
GOOD! CAN YOU IMAGINE THE HORROR HE?D UNLEASH ON THIS LOONY BIN? IT?S UNFATHOMABLE! UNIMAGINABLE! UNTAMEABLE! EH--?
2) Arcade places his right hand under his chin, considering what could have been. A crazed smile stretches across his face as Mindy continues to admire him to the annoyance of Miss Locke.
ARCADE
AN ABSOLUTE LOSS OF POTENTIAL CHAOS!
3) Arcade smacks Mindy with a rolled up newspaper or alternatively tosses something at her head.
ARCADE

YOU IDIOT!
4) Small [INSET] panel. Arcade returns to his content form, allowing himself a moment of respite.

SPIDER-MAN CAPTION

Coming up soon... more skins. A lot more skins. New review. Something else of interest. Keep up with us, yeah?
These are really informative. Thanks!

Okay, Gren, I hope to see an Elric mesh sometime soon! :P
Just added:
- Roundhouse Chat on... Secret Avengers #1 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/roundhouse-chat-1-secret-avengers/)
Leave us your thoughts, please. Also, spoiler warning.
New on FRP2:
- Nearly 30 new skins are released courtesy of Avalon (http://frp.unlimited2.net/frp-welcomes-avalon/), our newest associate.
Wow! Those are some amazing skins. Thanks Avalon and thank you Prev as well.
Awesome...always liked Avalon's work
Today on FRP, you can find the following:
- the 10th entry to our "Highlight On..." feature. This time, the Legion of Superheroes (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-the-legion-of-superheroes/) gets some love.
- JJ also releases yet another mod. Go check out JLA: The Yesterday War (http://frp.unlimited2.net/john-jr-presents-jla-the-yesterday-war/)
More of you should highlight your favorite teams, characters, and creators. Get on that, folks. :P
Today on FRP2:
- Skinning hair w/ Murs47 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/skinning-tutorial-hair/)
Go watch, please. Also, if you wouldn't mind, leave a comment somewhere. Let us know your thoughts. Feedback is one of the only ways to know what you want more, less, or none of. Yes, your responses actually do play a part in what FRP keeps around. Don't abuse that power! :O
Cool, that was really helpful. Hair is something I've always struggled with. Will be sure to try this method out.
Fantastic job. I am going to try this out. Thanks for the tutorial. :xancool
I finally figured out how to upload an HD video but you have to set it manually on the video's youtube page. I'm not sure how to embed that control option.
what software do you use murs
Wow. Your method of doing hair is nothing at all like mine. I've never even thought about custom brushes. I do small tweeks at the end with the Dodge/Burn but other than that, two completely different ways. (and I enjoy doing hair) :D
Oooh...I'll have to try that Murs, thanks for the Tut.

As requested, I wanted to leave a response: I love your site, all of the various things you've got on it, including the interviews! I'm also watching the videos -- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't stop those, if possible, because I have always wanted to try to skin, but I freely admit that not all of the terminology is easy for me. So watching someone do it, then having it as a reference, is invaluable. I seriously hope you and Murs keep posting them!
Very good tutorial Murs. Very different technique than I've been using, I'll have to try it out one day.
The way you and I do hair is similar, but not the same. This is informative becasue I can see a couple of way to improve the way I do hair.
A day you learn something is a GOOD day.
Note to Area 34: Custom brushes are often easy and save a lot of time. I use a similar one to do Kirby Dots.

That's if one used Photoshop, if you use Painter I'd suggest using the Camelhair brush set at varying opacity for hair...it comes out really great looking. But that's just me.....heh.
My method has always been layering of simple airbrush streaks. Granted it's limiting but with my wacom I can control the size/shape with pressure I put on the stylus. The way I've been doing hair is I make a dark color rectangle, chop it to the hairline shape. I then make a new layer and airbrush strands using a mid range color. I smudge tool things sometimes to soften or blend the strands and I then do another layer that has my highs and with that I add bright spots in the hair and then smudge again so they blend. After I shape everything I go back to my dark layer and either burn tool or manually add dark shadows. I try not to use dodge/burn a lot with my stuff. I prefer to paint it myself. I think with guys like my Escapist or Crimson that they came out really well but my hair looks no where as realistic as Murs.
Skinning with Murs continues: Skinning Boots (http://frp.unlimited2.net/skinning-tutorial-boots/)

Fantastic stuff Prev! I'll have to check your Spotlight out!
More great stuff, thanks Prev!

Dude, that Batman is awesome!
Late addition:
- New FX: Hark! The Mighty Mjolnir Comeths! (http://frp.unlimited2.net/hark-the-mighty/)
Thanks to C6, Gren, and Ren. If you have any problems, please lemme know.
Not a Thor fan, but the fx does look cool, and will be nice addition to my avengers in the rumble room. And JJ, these look great, I can't wait to grab them.
Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked them.
New Mjolnir FX? I'll download it now. Thor really needed that, thanks, Prev.
Now on FRP2:

Today on FRP2:
Roundhouse Chat on Secret Avengers #2 featuring Murs, Laughing Paradox, and me. (http://frp.unlimited2.net/roundhouse-chat-2-secret-avengers-2/) Please go read and leave us some thoughts.
Cool stuff Prev! I like the idea of discussions like that, even if I don't care for this one's subject.
Wondering why FRP is not updating as frequently as it used to?
- On the Lack of Updates (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-lack-of-updates/)
But make sure to check out:

Currently on FRP:
- 5 new skins/skopes by John Jr. (http://frp.unlimited2.net/losh-skopes-and-skins/)

Before anyone feels the need to make a thread or email/PM me about it:
1. Yes, FRP Mods is down, and it probably will not be back up.
2. No, the second version of the site will not be affected.
3. Yes, the majority of the old stuff will be preserved and available in due time.
4. Yes, this will affect the majority, if not all, of the maps on FXForce.
5. No, you won't be able to grab the content any time soonish.
6. No, the content won't be on FRP2 space in the near future.
7. Yes, you will have to wait and see.
It's been a good run, but that site really died off the moment Lude disappeared and updating was left up to me and Beyonder. We'll miss it, eh? :(
Blog post: End of FRP (http://frp.unlimited2.net/the-end-of-frpmods/)
I'm sure people will miss the site Previsionary. As they will be pleased to see it back up again or its contents hosted in a new site.
Yes...All of the maps at fxforce.com are now gone...They appear to be there, but clicking on them takes you to a dead end.
Good thing we'll be storing them...Although, I'm not entirely sure I still have all of them on my compy, Prev.
Dana :(
Good luck with this Prev, I hope we all can look forward to seeing a new beginning.
A sad day in FF history, Prev. Still, I'm glad FRP2 continues!
I was reading the "Sites that came before" thread and it got me thinking how many great sites I missed, but it's still sadder we're still losing great sites. I'm relieved part of the material will be up again someday, we couldn't lose it.
I put the maps back up on FXForce space. Only did a global change of the html pages, didn't doublecheck all the links. Fixed some other things too, thanks to life_matrix (sorry I didn't get around to them sooner, was hesitant to try this stuff again). As always, let me know if there's something broken/missing or whatever. I have much of the site stuff backed up to an external HD.
Aw, man, I'm new but sad to hear this! I hadn't tried all the mods yet, so I hope we'll have a new hosting site up soon!

I checked fxforce out, Mike, and it seems the links on the "New Maps" section are down as are CBJ's contributions. Thanks for adding them back to FXforce. That cuts down a lot of work for us, even though we had already backed them up, heh.

All the mods are fine. I backed up and made plans for all of them awhile back. Some have already found their way onto FRP2 full time (Batman, Crisis, and eventually Exiles and the Matrix Mods... maybe). Now if only I could find Lude, lure him back, and get him to release some of those unreleased mods I tested years ago. Dreams.
New post: Dilegence be my name (http://frp.unlimited2.net/diligence-be-my-name/)
Contents of blog post: Some restored content, added some old Conduit FX to the fx page, hints of upcoming content ranging from skins/skopes to FX.
Awesome, thanks for the hard work, Prev (and company)!
Indeed! A huge thanks for all the time and effort to provide these things for us.
Thanks guys. It's great to know we're still getting new material and preserving the classics.
Today on FRP2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/legionairres-urchin-and-a-spotlight-of-class/):
- John Jr. releases several Legionairre skopes (Livewire, Supergirl, and Saturn Girl) and a skin (Superman). Also, a Sea Urchin Skope
- Dana releases several new skopes (Beetle and Wraith) and a skin (Ghost)
- Spotlight on Ow_Tiobe (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spotlight-on-ow-tiobe/)
That was one of the most entertaining spotlights I've read. ^_^

I wrote half of the Young X-Men article you asked about Prev, haven't gotten around to the second half yet.
It's great that your putting up some of those mods.
Awesome, Pod. I almost forgot about that. :S
Put up earlier on FRP:
1. I opine about the first episode of the Ironman anime: click (http://frp.unlimited2.net/marvel-anime-ironman/)
So whatever happened to that FRP stuff? (http://frp.unlimited2.net/freedom-reborn-production-the-backup/)
Thanks for putting this back up Prev and Cmdrkoenig, I was just thinking that there were a few mods I hadn't picked from FRP so this is really great news.
It's really nice to know all these freedom force stuff is back, uploaded and available once again for others to enjoy Prev.
I've also read your review on the latest IronMan anime. As a very discriminating/discerning critic, i was wondering if you have any favorite anime shows (new/old) to recommend? :)
Ay-yi-yi-tunes, do I give off that perception? Sorry to inform ya, but I'm not big on anime. I'll have to defer you to Ares, Vertex, Tomato, or Vamp for your anime needs. The only show I watch these days is Detective Conan... and that's once every few months. :P. But when I was younger, I loved shows like Ronin Warriors, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, G-force, Outlaw Star, Zoids, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Cowboy BeBop. Obviously, I'm no connoisseur.
[threadjack] There was a thread about animes here (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=51172.0). It has a good list, but there hasnt been a post in awhile [/threadjack]

Please check it out. Thanky.

Nice read and an interesting topic Prev. I liked how they programmed the digital comic to work too, how clicking on the next arrow will switch you from one conversation to the next one (not page for page). :)
Yes, that system is one of the better ones I've used for online reading. Much better than Marvel's and Wowio's digital functions. They should take some tips from them.
Anyway, if I may be a little bit indulgent:
1. The Early Fruits of Labor (http://frp.unlimited2.net/fruits-of-labor/)
Please check out that update and leave me some thoughts, eh? Also, my next post will definitely be FRP related. I mean, I still need to add new fx to the site, right? Right.
Not a lot to say... but I said it anyway.
Lack of Updates and World War Hulk (http://frp.unlimited2.net/lack-of-updates-and-world-war-hulk/)
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Murs gives you: The Return of UDCU (http://frp.unlimited2.net/udcu-returns/)
I like the new revamped look of the site. I see the heroes in those little pocket folders? :P Nice. :panice
Today on FRP2:
1. Spider-man: The Musical (http://frp.unlimited2.net/spider-man-the-musical-the-parody/)
2. Bruce Timm draws Conan (http://frp.unlimited2.net/bruce-timm-on-conan/)
Once I hit my groove again and cut down some work I have to get done, I should be posting content a little more regularly. I have a new feature planned to replace the Spotlights, so get ready for it.
And the groove begins:
1. Murder at the Holidays: Short story (http://frp.unlimited2.net/murder-at-the-holidays/)
If you guys don't mind a quick read, I could use some feedback to help me better this story. Any comment is much appreciated.

I've got a comment Prev: "You suck!"
Well actually that's just a statement of such seeing as I can't get ye bloody short story to load on any computer I've sat in front of to critique the true piece! MEH!
How about you stop being green jello and get back to finishing that project you were working on for me. Gosh. You're such a dumb-faced cow!
Interesting. Vamp was the only other person to tell me that it didn't load, but everyone else who I know have read the story said it worked fine. I'm switching to a new format regardless. Get ready to be disappointed.
Happy Holidays gang,
today on FRP, you'll find a new mod (http://frp.unlimited2.net/john-jr-presents-captain-america-legacy/) by John Jr. Why don't you go check it out and show JJ some love?
Thanks for hosting these Mods Prev.
Regarding the short story. I laughed, I, almost, cried, I felt their relief. If I had any criticism, not being a writer mind you, it would be that, in some areas, you might have been a little over descriptive. Sometimes it was a challenge to get through all of the commas. All-in-all though, a good read. I think a major motion picture could be in the works. (Don't let them change the ending.)
Happy Holidays!
edit: BTW. It loaded fine for me on Chrome.

And this is a general question for all those out there that view this thread. How else would you like to receive updates in the future? I'm looking at changing the site around soonish, and this is your chance to give me some suggestions.
This thread and the Releases thread are where I get all my updates from. But just out of curiosity, what kind of changes are you looking at?
Great new releases JJ.

I think you may be the only one that cares, lol. If I find more time to dedicate to the site, it'll probably get another graphical overhaul and lose a few things I don't think are being used very often like the social buttons on the posts.
yeah, the social buttons, i'm not familiar with, but I do try to respond to the updates there when I can. you have a great site site as is.

Kind of hard to read and reply to everything (Kids), but your site is currently very well done. I don't think making changes would serve for much unless it's a personal preference or a spacial issue.
New skopes from Dana are now available on FRP2. John Jr. has also uploaded dat files for his Captain America and JLA mods. Check the post for details: CLICK (http://frp.unlimited2.net/dragons-salamandar-and-some-dats/)

Yeah, I get any updates here.
Today on FRP2:
1. Highlight On: The Middle Man (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-the-middle-man/)
If ya can't tell by now, The Highlight feature, which I didn't focus on too much last year, has effectively replaced Spotlights for the time being. The other new feature, which won't be done by just me, will start up sometime soonish. On the horizon, I made a few new FX during some down time (read: weekend boredom), so those will be up this or next week.
Another week, another update:
1. Highlight on: The Middle Man, Volume 2 (http://frp.unlimited2.net/highlight-on-the-middle-man-vol-2/)
I hope you guys like this feature, as I'm trying to actively combat the notion that people seem to be creating about the lack of "good" comic books out there. And I'll put the offer on the table again, if you want to contribute a piece about a book, character, or even a creator that you love, please do. Podmark, that specifically means you.
On the Horizon:
1. New FX?
2. Another highlight.
3. ???

QuoteSurprise, surprise. There's a new highlight in town, and this time it comes to us from Benton Grey. Another surprise, it's not 8 pages long or about Aquaman. Our little fishboy is growing up, ain't he. What is he shining a light on this time? Well, it's Project: Superpowers, so why don't you give it a read and see if it interest you any?
Just for that, the next one I write is gonna' be about Aquaman.
Do it! Heh!
Ohh, I'm totally going to. I just have to decide what to talk about specifically.
Jem vs Aquaman who is the more outrageous
In Superfriends, why did Aquaman ride a Jet-ski?
Wouldn't Aquaman stink every time he came out of the ocean? Were his Justice League friends just polite or did they ever address that?
  ...Sorry Benton, this is just too funny.

I have no idea why he rode one. Maybe it didn't occur to the writers that he can swim faster than any sea going vessel.
But I'm not sure there was such a thing as a jet-ski prior to the Aquascooter. I suspect the Aquascooter was the inspiration for the jet-ski. Hmm. Wikipedia says the first jet-skis came out in 1973... Hard to say.

No, he just didn't stink, despite exiting the ocean. It's one of his subtler powers.
You bums! Why did Green Lantern ride around in a ring created jeep in Super Friends? Because that show was fairly idiotic at times. :P

Exactly, he smells like a cool sea breeze...it's in a comic, believe it or not. ;) Aquaman is a big hit with the ladies, and a group of them are talking about him in the 4th volume. One of them, who was saved by the sea king from a suicide attempt, describes him from her perspective. It's really a nice little filler story. There are several of those in that series.
What would y'all actually like to know about Aquaman? Should I review his best run? Talk about particularly awesome stuff he has done? What would his fans and detractors like to see, in relative seriousness?
I'd like to see clips from the Superfriends of Aquaman lifting a bulldozer blade, hauling construction blocks from a dam, bending cell bars, etc. Basically the times he did do more than talk to fish.
He was the third strongest Superfriend, and the fourth strongest Justice League member. But when compared to Clark, Diana (and J'onn)...
So many people get hung up on the "he talks to fish" bit they forget that he was stronger, much faster, and far more durable than a normal human. Namor talks to fish, and no-one forgets that he is stronger, faster, and more durable than a normal human.
Aquaman just don't get no repect.
His main weakness was having to get soaked every hour which is almost as bad as a powerful alien artifact being unable to affect the color yellow. If Aquaman didn't have to get wet on a regular basis, he'd be one of the power houses. That and if he could actually get a good writer.

Well, that actually hasn't been the case since the 80's or so. It was more or less just phased out.
I'd rather see a Namor/Aquaman mini-mod.
Btw, Benton, did you get the Aquaman Toon Tumbler? I got one.
I think the hour time limit was originally the length of time at which under oprimal conditions he could remain out of water before he began to weaken. Eventually he would die, but not precisley on the hour limit. Someplace along the way that hour limit became a deadline. I can't remember if hot, dry conditions shortened the time or not, but they probably did.
Again, Namor grows steadily weaker the longer he stays out of water (or at least he used to), but he could operate at superhuman levels for a long time before that weakening made any real difference.
I think that Benton's next mod should be "Who is the true King of Atlantis". Focusing on Aquaman (Justice Superfriends) versus Namor (Invaders) versus Amphibian (Squadron Supreme).
You could place the mod in a universe with three Earths; the first has Atlantis ruled by Aquaman, the second Namor, and the third mysterious aliens bent on world domination. The alien Atlanteans use some sort of machine intended for something nefarious but unintentionally opens a space-time rip on Marvel and DC Earths drawing in the two heroes who naturally assume the other is the culprit and they go to dukes. The eventually figure out the real cause and work together to defeat the evil Atlanteans. You could even gradually work in their supporting casts and other aquatic heroes and characters.
He could add all the aquatic characters from all the other companies as second stringers: Barry Kuda and Algie, Piranna, The Red Torpedo, The Fin, Hydroman, The Shark, Maureen Marine, Navy Jones, UNDERSEA Agent, and maybe toss the Sea Devils in for fun. And guest appearences from a couple of characters from an Irrational computer game.
I've always thought that the alien invaders from MARS Patrol-Total War were from Atlantis.
Or heck, just do the Atlantis DC/Atlantis Marvel war...
And Manta and Moray from the Filmation cartoons.
Don't forget The Man from Atlantis, the TV series with Patrick Duffy, unless you'd prefer to.

I gotta do a skin of him one day; he's on my list...
Haha, well, don't hold your breath for an all aquatic hero mod anytime soon folks. I've thought about doing a Namor/Aquaman crossover, but there are things that are higher on my list. As far as the King of the Sea himself, I've got a storyline and mod sitting around. I can't do much more with it until I can get some darn fish! Aquaman without his finny army isn't Aquaman. While I started to story with a mission on land, the underwater adventures just have to be part of an Aquaman mod. While I've got a couple of missions started, one of which is technically playable, I really want him to be able to summon some undersea allies. Plus, I want to populate the underwater maps with some fish in general. I've been trying to get the fish models I found some years back rigged to work in FF for a while, but I haven't had any success yet.
http://toucan.web.infoseek.co.jp/3DCG/3ds/FishModelsE.html
I'd love the chance to keep telling that story, 'cause I've got zillions of ideas.
Anyway, maybe I'll do a highlight on the top five best Aquaman stories. Would that interest folks? Or, I could do an organized, image heavy "respect" piece for Aquaman, focusing on the impressive things he can do. Maybe I'll do both. The former would fit Prev's format better, so perhaps I'll do that latter on the Greylands.
Bah! Rigging is the easy part. You just rig to a really deformed biped. Now animating them - that's a pain.
hey benton, dont know if youve ever said but...what made you pick Aquaman as your favorite character? of all the characters out there, why him?

Not easy for me YL! The good thing about the fish is that they wouldn't need to be animated too much. As for Beast Boy's dolphin form, I don't know. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever seen it. If there is a dolphin mesh out there...then that gets me closer to what I need.
Herodad, the short answer is, 'I don't really remember.' I'll write more in detail about it soon.

I tried posting a long response, but it was deleted because I didn't fill out one of the fields. For future reference, is there a way to prevent losing everything if I accidentally leave a field blank?
You should be able to retain everything just by hitting the backspace/the back button. It's really all dependent on you cookie/cache setup, I suppose, as I don't have that much power over the comment system. The only thing required to post, as far as I recall, is name/email unless something changed when I switched up my spam filters.
The other alternative is to write your comment, CTRL + C it jic, and hope for the best. I typically do that or type what I want to say out in notepad (usually quick note, if I'm using chrome), then paste it wherever.
ETA:
Did a little testing. It was my new spam filter. It's not very lenient it seems. Sorry.

Honestly, it would have been done a while ago (when Ren gave me permission to do so), but something came up that prevented it from happening, and I never got back to it. When your momentum is shut down midstream, it's hard to jump back to it, especially when you know how much work is involved. Maybe one day soonish.

Hey Prev, I'm getting an error message stating that Chemistro by DJ can't be downloaded. No problems downloading the rest of his stuff though.
Fixed.
It's all Prem's fault...he is trying everything possible to make you all hate me...including circumventing links to my skins. Bloody "undead slayer" that he supposedly is!
Happy to see an update on FRP. ^_^
Happy belated anniversary to you guys. :)
Because Prem is too lazy to post anything here, there has been an update on FRP...just my Chamber skin on Windblown's skope but still...it's an update!!!
I have put up two new skopes/skins. One is Batman with Adam West skin. Another is Nuke from Squadron Supreme.

Great! Thanks Avalon. Can't wait to try out that Adam west when I get home.
Following 5 skins are now up at FRP under the skopes (here (http://frp.unlimited2.net/skopes/)): Warhawk, Commanche, Excavator, the Apparition, and Shadow Slasher.
Wow. Updates with some original characters too. Sweet!

Mien got!! It didn't do that yesterday...wonder what's up with that...will talk with Prem.
Alright...FRP is fixed though running a bit slow right now.
More of my stuff has been posted!
:)
Xandu has been posted to my section.
Guys,
I'm finishing my new Man of Steel skope and skin and need to know if we still can upload content to FRP2. Usually Prev. would took the necessary steps to make the content available after I sent it to him, but since he's "retired" I don't know what I should do.
I can just open a Yahoo Group, but FRP2 would be my first choice since it's my "home" since I started to create content.
Thanks in advance.

Prev still posts stuff on occasion...hit him up on his gmail account.
Thanks for the tip, DJ.
Yes, I still post stuff up. Usually, DJ harasses me until he thinks he can make something happen, but in actuality, I ignore him until I have the time to dedicate to such ventures. It's a system. It works. :P

That's almost all right...he fails to mention I sometimes break out the whip!
Machete is now on FRP!!! Go get it if you want it!
*scrambles hurriedly*
My Machete!
Hey, is FRP gone!? Say it ain't so!
Last I spoke to Prem, he was working on something, but for now, FRP is currently down.

Think he's going with Mediafire...all I know is that most of the site is down for some reason that Prem has no control over....something Middy has to do on it..unsure though.
FRP is back up and running for the time being. Prem is thinking about something but not sure where he is going with it.
Hmm, I can't seem to access it.

Ditto. I was hoping to raid FXForce to make sure I had everything. I also wanted to try and grab the screen shots for references for making my own FX.
*ahem*
FRP2 is partially back. The main site seems to be down for some reason, and I'm working on that when I'm not busy with my actual life. I have to wait on some info from Middy before I can fully tackle it, however. That said the side sites that are attached to FRP2 are all working fine, from what I saw. The side sites include FXFORCE (http://frp.unlimited2.net/fxforce/public_html/), Murs's UDCU (http://frp.unlimited2.net/UltimateDC/udcu.html), and Avalon's site (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/www.frp.unlimited2.net/skins/Avalon/avalon.html), so if you need anything from there or from them, you can safely grab whatever.
FRP2's Future
Moving forward, FRP2 will be fine for at least a few more months, but I can't guarantee that it'll be around beyond that. There have been some changes that have taken place over the recent months and my focus is more on certain people who need my attention. Meanwhile, Middy has his own thing going on, and he's been graciously hosting the site on FRP's behalf. So, with that in mind, if I were to set up a donation button to help keep FRP around for as long as possible, would anyone be interested in helping out?
I'm not expecting anything, but I figured I'd pose the question and gauge the reaction before I make any real decision on how FRP2 will or won't move forward. Thoughts?
I'd definitely be interested in doing what I can to keep FRP online, along with all of its treasures. What are its yearly costs, if I may ask?
Since I'm still trying to replace/repair things that were damaged/ruined when my house flooded last year, I can't offer much financial support, but if there's anything else I can do, I'd be glad to help.

Don't be rude, DJ! This isn't about you! But yes, DJ is also going through his own thing which he may or may not have alluded to the rest of you at some point here... or there... or yonder... or something. #TheGreatDeejMysteryof20152015
Prem, I can help too, as long as it's sometime soon (I have money at the moment from selling things on Evilbay...LOL!).

A new post? Madness! However, don't get too excited. You can more or less consider FRP2 dead. The main site will not be restored as I don't have the ability to do so, and to be frank, I don't have the time, or more importantly, the interest to dedicate to it when I no longer do anything related to the game. As it stands, I rarely check FR, so there's no point in dragging this out.
Freedom Reborn Productions (FRP) has had a long, fantastic run. Many of you may not know this, but this group originally started out, afaik, as a bunch of creators who wanted to work on projects together and have a helping hand in keeping things running as smoothly as possible. Shockingly, despite how associated I became with FRP (& FRP2), I was not part of that initial groupings, which consisted of many FXForce members and a few other content creators of times long gone. I consider myself as part of the second wave who took over and eventually became part of the driving force that kept the site alive for almost a decade longer than anyone would have ever imagined. I was not supposed to be the person who essentially became the management, so to speak, of the site, and when I was new to the group, I answered to the mighty Lude; but over time, as Lude disappeared, I took over, as I was the only person remaining who knew enough HTML to keep everything running as smoothly as possible (besides Beyonder who I forged an awesome friendship with, but like the actual Marvel character, he often comes and goes, depending on where his third eye takes him). Working on the original site was time consuming, and I was mostly handling that alone during a time where I was mass producing not only mods of various lengths and complexities, but I was regularly FXing and helping others with their projects as well, and this was on top of writing projects and my real life. It was slowly wearing me down, which made the decision to switch to the Wordpress site (FRP2) that much easier to make once it became known that MikeB7 was going to be stepping away from the hosting side of things.
Throughout that transition, my good buddy (and old FR member) Chuckles, my favorite werewolf and new site host Middy/Midnight, and Cmdrkoenig all provided a ton of help in making the new site what it was, a place for all your modding needs. Though the look was simpler (and nowhere near as customized as the original), it was much easier to navigate and keep up-to-date. It also gave us access to a blog, which brought upon newer ideas and allowed me to incorporate more of my writing into the FR\FForce world. The spotlights, highlights, and even the all content/link heavy posts were a ton of fun to create, and I finally had a way to show off all the tutorials that I had written or were within my reach (with permission). I like to think that it also helped to usher in a minor revival of updated, more modern websites for the community as well, as our site grew and settled into its looks. And as our revival continued and our/my energy resurged, not only were we putting out new content on a weekly basis for almost an entire year, but we eventually attracted new and older content creators and brought them into the fold. To all those people (John Jr., Benton, Murs, Death's Jester, Cyber, Torch, and to all the past content creators who allowed us to host their content), I say thanks for joining the ride and helping us to stick around as long as we did. It was appreciated then, and it's appreciated now. And because I know a lot of that content is still being used and requested today, I decided to take the time to upload as much of it as I could. If you want to grab any of that content, you can find it at the backup site that also holds the original FRP content. Sometime down the line, FXForce may be there too. It's just uploading takes a lot of time, and there's a lot of content to sift through.
Anyway, long post is long, and wrap ups are wraps up. Thanks for the memories, gang, and it was fun while it lasted. Thanks to all you content creators that contributed your work to us. And thanks to the community that often kept us going even when it was difficult, including you, DJ, who was & is my arch-rival but also someone I barely tolerate even on a good day (he knows how to interpret this). :P

And remember: 1) Don't be rude & 2) Sometimes, a strike of vase can make even the ugliest things kinda sorta beautiful... sometimes... maybe.

I have to disagree, it wasn't me who allowed you to host my stuff, it was you who generously gave me a home, and to quote you, it was appreciated then, and it's appreciate now. :D
Thanks for providing the goodies. Yeah your site is really missed but grateful it ever existed and all you people made it the experience it was in the first place. Best to you all and whatever adventures are finding you now and thank you for the times.
Although I didn't know you very well, you brought me a great deal of happiness by hosting such talented creators on your site. All good things... as they say. But you will be sorely missed.
Live long and well. May you have success in all your endeavors and thank you for all you have done for us.
Thank you Prev for your generosity in keeping FRP up (as well as a thanks to all the content creators), and good luck in all your future endeavors.
I promised my momma that I wouldn't cry. I won't cry. I won't! (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/images/smilies/emoticons/crying.gif)
We'll miss you and everything you've done for us, Prev! FRP(2) was amazing, and I loved all of the skopes, mods, and FX you hosted on the site!
Thank you for everything! (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/images/smilies/emoticons/beerchug.gif)
Even I will pop in for a belated moment to say a big thanks for all that you did. The Shirelettes will sing a song in your honor...
.. and don't call me Shirley.
sadness and melancholy, however Thank you Prev for all the contents, you have granted to hundreds of people and me, many hours of fun.
This is an update... kinda.
After years of putting it off, FXFORCE (http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4g4ekoni8gxdl/FXForce)is finally backed up on the FRP2 backup site.
Additionally, I realized that all the M25 tools that were on the wiki are gone and irretrievable. Thanks to Beyonder, I managed to collect them all again and reupload them (http://www.mediafire.com/folder/2782wbje3s02o/Mod_Tools).
Dassit.
That's awesome, Prev, thanks man!
