Let's try this again and maybe people will actually notice the mod.
I've recently re-tidied up this project after a HD crash and the full thing will be somewhere soon for anyone that wants to play it to download. Just to recap:
Quote
Crisis was a most catastrophic event that almost set two major universes on a path to destruction and complete dictatorship under the rule of Thanoseid. Not everyone participated in, or even knew about, this event taking place. Some heroes were off dealing with other minor villains that subsequently rose in power thanks to the distortion of time and space. These heroes were Iceman, Human Torch, and Deadpool...and their villain...loves to play games. They are...THE ULTIMATE TRIO
Facts:
1. The mod features quite a few guest stars. You might even want to play a few missions twice.
2. Some new maps by Dana and Conduit that you may find on FRP soon enough.
3. A few new fx I've yet to actually release + a minor update to Fire Control thanks to Stumpy
4. The full download will be 63 MB; so, about 200+ MB unpacked.
5. And finally...many thanks to my testers: C4, USAgent, and sir TPE whom Shirley tried destroy
6. Also, thanks to DJ and UE for a certain skin/skope.
7. 95% chance of being my final mod.

i'm interested. does it need to be played in any order with your other stories?
Good, I managed to miss this last time round, and am looking forward to giving it a try.
It looks interesting.
Thanks.
Always interested in your mods, man!
Just because you slapped me when I hadn't played it yet, I refuse to download your piece of trash.
=P
Looks like fun. :)

LOL! He is abusive about this stuff, isn't he Grem? Prev, I can't wait to play this. I've been itching for an opportunity for a while now!
No link! Get on the ball, Prev! :D

No. Similarly to "Exiles", it makes references to past events, but you don't need to play that mod to understand anything. By the finale, the gist of "Crisis" is laid out for the player.

Do you need a smack? The link will appear whenever Dana decides to finally release his maps and stop being a tease...so...sometime next year. ^^

Well, now you're a tease by association! :P
Looks cool. How many missions is it?
I am gonna have redownload this mod when it gets released (finally). I think I only have the beta test versions and i wouldn't want to miss any new little tid bits you threw in there.
Great group of characters you assembled in this mod and the dialog is spot on between the characters (especially Deadpool's!) This mod is original in the sense that you actually have a reason to go back through and replay it (you'll see).

No, thats not who he was refering to, someone just a little less powerful than him. But definatly someone who enjoys games!
I heard this guy (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Richards%2C_Franklin) enjoys games! Though, I guess he wouldn't really be a 'villain'. :D
PS: I'm just kidding. I have no idea. I'll find out when the mod is released.
I know who it is! And I'm not telling. :P

How did you find out? Who told you? *looks at Benton* "I see, I see," said the brown flea...
---------
Sir Stumpy, tis 5 missions long, so it's going back to my roots of shorter mods. That and...I couldn't really justify 6+ missions in a side story that fits inside another story. :P.
Speaking of mods...why don't you go here (http://frp.unlimited2.net/) and try it?
Played through the first mission of this and a bit of the second. Good stuff so far.
The ice t-rex was a pain (in a good way) and caused much destruction before I ended up resorting to smashing it with lampposts.
One problem... the AI on the raging t-rex didn't seem to work very well. I think it was trying to throw things. That tactic should be removed.
Interesting choice at the start of the second mission.
This is a lot of fun! A couple of questions/observations:
Spoiler
1. Deadpool totally steals the show. :D
2. I found the Human Torch a little frustrating to play... he was constantly out of energy. Iceman too, to a lesser extent. Maybe they could use a zero-cost ranged attack? Having them resorting to punching most of the time seems wrong somehow.
3. For some weird reason, the female_straighthair in my customs folder was overriding the one in the mod folder, so Emma Frost looked like Vampirella.
4. In the Deadpool vs. the Skeletons mission, it doesn't look like there's any way to reach the health cannisters. Or did you do that on purpose just to be sadistic? :P
5. I ran into the dreaded pink textures in a couple of places: Siryn's cape, and the controls in Arcade's giant robot.
6. Speaking of Arcade's giant robot, any strategy tips for that last battle? He resists everything the boys can throw at him, and regenerates besides. :banghead:
Wow, I'm gonna test that Mod as soon as possible! Looks like it's extremely fun.
I'll elaborate further once I've played it, but congrats in advance for such a hard work.
JKCarrier
Spoiler
For those unreachable health canisters....can't deadpool teleport to them? I remember having that same problem with not being able to reach them, then after the mission was over I remembered DP can teleport.

Hrm, I figured I fixed that...but then again, I was never really sure how far I was sent back because of my HD crash. I'll work on it.

Spoiler
1. Yes...he does seem to get the most and best lines. He's such a diva.
2. I'll see about changing their powers a bit. Perhaps I'll give Torch a zero-cost direct attack based off of MUA...and Iceman can make use of the snowballs...or the old icicle fx I made for him and his daggers can go to zero cost.
3. That's basically a game issue I can't fix (without renaming the folder and messing with the dats a bit more). I noticed it before, but it's user end for the most part.
4. It was purposeful.. Honestly, I figured people would take note of DP's body slide ability and get to it (like USA said). :S
5. Agh, I figured I fixed that as I never had the problem.
6. Arcade in that battle is tough, yeah? Team work. Human Torch and Iceman won't do much of anything to him damage wise, but they can keep him occupied and wasting his energy (IE: have arcade causing damage to himself and keeping him off balance). Your real star in that battle will be Deadpool. His energy grenade can damage Arcade with no problem. However, his gun attack is a better option (especially if you've found an energy canister) if you're willing to take the risk of ricochets.
I played the mod and I really liked it, Prev...it was a bit too short, though. Good work on your choices of meshes and skins, plus it was good combo of characters.
One thing that I missed was voices...The heroes are far too quiet (especially chatty Deadpool).

Too short? *submerges you in a world full of shadows* ^_^.
I think voices would've been awesome. Too bad we don't have a bunch of voice actors running around like we did back in the ff1 days. Also, me am thankful both UE and DJ came through for me with brand new Arcade skins. Also, sir Murs with the newer DP skins.
Howdy Prev! Well, I've been playing it and having an absolute blast. These guys aren't my favorite characters, but you've brought them to life in a very entertaining way....P.S....I chose Polaris, just to bother you. ^_^
The first mission was a lot of fun, although that toy robot (I am TOTALLY going to steal that mesh for some of Toyman's minions, if I can get permission!) gave me fits. I agree with what's already been said about Deadpool's dialog, he's great fun. I literally laughed out loud when the "Mod Awareness" thing came up, and when he asked the other two if they had it too....ha...that was great. I agree that their various powers could use a bit more work, as I was having to do a bit more waiting around that I generally like to do, but that's a pretty minor critique at worst. Great work man!
