Howdy guys, my friends and I have been playing Dawn of War (with the first expansion) for a bit now, and I was just wondering if anyone around here had it. If you're interested in playing, there are three of us that play about once a week, or once every other week, depending on what our schedules are like. Anyone still playing it?
Haven't played it in a while, but might be talked into it some time. I've never played multiplayer, though. I mostly enjoy the Dark Crusade single player campaign.
Awesome Cat! Send me your AIM name, if you have one. That is often how we put games together.
I hadn't played multiplayer much, mostly because of the type of people who generally played these games online...basement dwelling mutants, for whom the game is the most important thing in the world. I didn't much enjoy someone 12 year old's feeble attempts to belittle me because I didn't spend every waking moment playing. :P Still, they had a great online service, and I thought it would be fun if played with people I knew. So, I recruited a few of my friends to play, and it is a lot of fun.
Don't have AIM, but I'm sure we could work something out.
I also highly recommend Dark Crusade. Too bad we didn't have this conversation a week ago; Impulse had it on sale for four bucks.
Ha, that figures. I actually DO have Dark Crusade, but my friends don't. You can't play cross-game, sadly. I'll drop you a line when we are getting a game together Cat. :)
I like Dawn of War but I'm mostly a company of heroes junky.
You know, Lugaru, I liked DoW so much that I actually bought Company of Heroes too, but was disappointed in it. It was fun at first, but something just didn't click for me.
Dawn of War II will be styled after CoH, so you might like it better, lugaru. I, on the other hand, am not so interested.
Hey Cat, we'll be playing a game this week, when are you open to play?
Generally weekday mornings 9am to 1 pm EST.
Saturdays I have more time free.
Let's aim for Saturday then.
:EDIT: Well, I'll plan ahead more next time. :)
