nice!
A crisp clean look, as ever, and the face is very 50's or 60's looking to me. From back when he was a big goofy lug who was more comic relief than threat.
I can never get the "superman boot" to look as good as you do here.
It's like christmas all over again! Love your work JKC.
Great Bizarro skin JKC.
Hey, you! I'm glad you have time to skin again. Also even though I never comment, I enjoy your posts in LJ.
Ha, LJ! I used to rock a major LJ. Those were the days.
/threadjack
Fantastic skin, JK. It's got a cool, classic look to it that I'm diggin'.
Me am hating your skins. me...am....
Ok I can't do bizarro speak. Skin looks good JKC. Great to see skinning! Seems like it's been a while.
So, I hear there's this goofy old Batman villain who recently got a makeover, and is actually considered kind of cool now?
Well, I'll put a stop to that!

Not only did your title make me chuckle but I love these skins (but you know that already :))
Very nice.
Cool skope. I like the way your colors really pop. Nice smooth and clean work all around. I think it's very much how the great C6 would do it.

oh man iam so old or what ?? the good old days ..... !!!
dammit very good work :D
Silly Superboy...you shouldn't leave alien artifacts lying around. Your old Pa might pick it up and gain super-powers!
Luckily for everyone involved, his powers were only temporary. But for a few days there, the mighty Strongman was the Senior Superhero of Smallville!
Available for download at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
God, I remember the old "Look, Pa Kent has super powers!" plot...
Brilliant work as always, JK. I love your face work, Pa Kent and Nightwing are super (pun intended)!
When the space pirates of planet Wexr II tried to conquer the galaxy, they were thwarted by Superboy! They swore to get revenge, and formed the (wait for it...) Superboy Revenge Squad! How successful were they? Well, they eventually had to change their name to the SuperMAN Revenge Squad, so that should tell you something. :P
One skoped mesh with three skins, each with a different color of Kryptonite to bedevil the Boy of Steel! Get it at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
These skins look awesome. I love the work you did on the faces. It feels vintage, all the way through. Great job.
Cool skope with nice facial work.
Awesome job, JKC. I agree, the faces are very, very good.
Nice job. With all of the work you obviously did, I have to say that I really like the texture on the kryptonite.
Awesome work!
Cool skope JKC.
More Silver Age crazyness! Yes!
Great work, JKC! I really like your colors.
Very nice skins and Skopes, JKC.
Dana
I've never seen the Superboy Revenge Society before, and I can definitely see the Silver Age-y-ness about them, but those are some great skins and skopes. As a matter of fact, it looks like I've missed commenting on several skins of yours in the last bit. You've got great, bright, clear work JKC. I especially like your Nightwing and Flamebird skins.
Nice to see ya back JKC
Great job on the SRS.
Seeing Detourne's Leader skope reminded me that I had started working on one a while back. I almost trashed mine, since his is really good. But it was almost done, so what the heck, here ya go.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
Very nice skin/skope JKC. Very vibrant colors.
I love the face on the Leader.
Oh man, he's fantastic! His Sci-Fi weapons are pretty cool, too.
That really is a great face. Good to see you skinning again.
Ohh man, what an awesome skope and skin! I love it when my villains have appropriate weapons, so that is great. I really like the staff-like weapon you gave him! As for the skin itself, great work! The face as a whole is nice, but those eyes are just so perfect....he really seems to evoke the incredibly awesome casting choice of the Avengers 'toon, with Jeffery Combs (sp?) playing him. He's got this cool, dispassionate intellect that shows through.
That Leader looks awesome! I'm diggin' the face.
Would-be master criminal Elton Craig was looking for a Kryptonite meteor he could use against Superman. What he found was even better...a box of pills created by Superman's father Jor-El that gave him temporary superpowers. And since the pills had been tainted with Kryptonite, they also took away Superman's powers. Oh, the irony! But with a little help from Batman and Robin, Superman was finally able to capture Craig and restore the natural order of things. Whew!
Anyway, you can find Elton in all his bare-legged glory at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
Great stuff JKC! I really like both of them.
Great skope/skin JKC. I like seeing characters that have never been made before.
He's immortal!
He's purple!
He smells bad!
He really dislikes Superman!
It's Nam-Ek, the half-Kryptonian/half-Rondor villain. Available now at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
Very cool, JKC! Great work on the face!
Really nice JKC, I definitely agree with Helix, the facial work alone is extremely well done.
Haha,
That's awesome, JKC!
That's really cool JKC great character and skin.
Nice to have you back JKC!
Welcome back JKC! It's great to see you, man.
Ha, he smells bad? Ha, that made me chuckle.
Great skin there, and a visually interesting character to be sure. I love your face work on that guy.
That face looks incredible. Great job on it!
That's very cool, the face is great.
That's a great face. Good to see you skinning again JKC.
I've had this skope done for months, finally got around to skinning it:
An obscure Green Arrow villain called The Octopus. Only appeared once, as far as I can tell. He had no special powers, just a crazy costume, a pet octopus, and an obsession with the number "8". That's all you needed back in the 1950s!
Available at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
I don't know the character, but I love the logo on the costume. Great job!
Always nice to see a JCK skin, both for the quality of the work amd the obscurity of the character.
I am in awe of this thread.
Great work!
I have no recollection of that villain. Was he Kirby era?
:D I always love seeing Skins/Skopes of characters that I have never seen before, and I must say, that I am really enjoying all the obscurity that is appearing in these threads.
Ha! JKC, you always manage to grant these obscure guys I've never heard of more dignity and panache than I would have thought possible. He looks great! :)
I like it too.
Back when i was reading DC's Whos Who comics , I had always found these kinds of characters (those without powers) very interesting and love reading about their history and stories.
Great job on the guy. ( Though i still think his hat gives off a more squid like impression.) :P
I was proud of myself for knowing every character on this thread (Nam-Ek especially!), and then that Octopus guy showed up and it was WTF!??! for me. :)

This is awesome, JKC! Can't wait to use these with SA's Chicken-Men :P
Great stuff!
Amazing skopes and skins.
Those look great, look how the suits came out.
I love 'em.
Cool skins JKC, I really like the striped suit.
Ohh man, those are great! I love the suits, and I can't believe how great the masks look!
The skoping and skinning work on this Terrible Trio are superb.
Fun choice of characters to work on.
A couple of classic Flash rogues:

What if you created a sheet of ice fx and attached to the foot node for flying fx?
Very nice. Loving the "old school" villains.

It might require having to re-do the Skope, but what if you used Ink's "Classic_Ice_Man" as a base, then popped in Lord Ehmsidy's "Crymson" Mesh with a body swap, and then Skope the other pieces on?

Actually, Detourne_me did a skope for Ice that already has the ice slide implemented with a female base. If you're looking for a hovering sheet of ice, you could try Gren's Invisible Woman who flies/hovers on a big flat, floating disc.
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I did explore a couple of options for Golden Glider...I decided against using an ice slide or hoverdisk because she would be standing still on them, and I felt that the skating animation was more important to the "flavor" of the character. But if someone wants to take what I've done and re-skope it to include a slide or whatever, please feel free. More options is always good!
