I'm worried if you are having a shortage of things to play. I'm a pure PC and NINTENDO DS player and I dont have enough hours in the day to play the things I purchsed during the big steam discount period. Then again my G.F. has no tolerance of watching me play stuff (we always put on a movie or something instead) so I've been making slow progress.

Still I have not purchased Far Cry 2 yet which sounds amazing and there is a lot of other cool stuff. Also I'm sure nobody on this board really cares but Sims 3 comes out next month.

I have two things every gamer needs...A stack of games, and a memory that resets every other day or so.

Sims 3 is on my birthday wish list... I'm only getting it because I got fed up with babysitting my "families" in Sims 1 & 2 and the character generator was so limited on what you looked like and what you could wear (unless you modded it with custom meshes and clothes) much less the endless hours you would take in building your homes, towns, etc.

The new one has done away with the babysitting drawbacks and expanded the modding abilites to insane levels (at least from what the promos from the game hype up) so it's very tempting to revisit the game just to see what I can do with it... After all I just mess around creating virtual clones of the brothers from Supernatural, The Munsters, The Addams Family, and so forth just to see what chaos occurs.

Otherwise I'm playing Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, and BioShock in shifts during my spare time.. when I'm not messing with making heroes/villians in FFvsT3R.

i will say this;  there are no other communities.  not for me.  i've tried them, and this is the only one i care about.

I'm in a similar boat - I'm basically not a gamer anymore.  I'll play the odd console game, more as a novelty than anything, but I think a great deal of modern games are empty, pretty spectacles.

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: I haven't left gaming, the gaming industry left me.

Personally, I'm disappointed in the current gen of console gaming. Then again it might be because I went with the PS3 over the 360. However, the top console this gen just doesn't interest me. I can't ever picture myself wanting to get a Wii. Oh well, maybe I'll buy a high-end PC and see if I can get back into gaming.

Gotta agree. The only other gaming community I care about is for the pen and paper HERO system. I liked the old Morrowind community but the newer Oblivion one is less friendly. No community or video since Freedom Force has grabbed me as much.

I had a fun on many games since.
But FFVTTR got no rivals in terms of creative opportunities
